VW, I don’t write any reviews to pander to SP’s. You brought up my use of the term ‘value’ recently as not being useful for most members. After looking back, I agreed with you and have eliminated and I plan to simply state price for the punt in future reviews.

It's a simple no why would you want to inform a prossie about a site for punters 

When ever I hear about punters talking about this site to prossies it always makes me think of something dodgy taking place. Such as if you give me a discount I will give you a positive review which will help you get more business 

Unless they're brand spanking new to industry (and didn't do any/much research before entering) they'll know about UKP. It's extremely unlikely you'll be the first to inform them. Also, there's hordes of fluffies out their who're eager to inform WGs about any chatter about them, especially reviews.

With regard to you TripAdvisor statement my only comment is that I don't tell the restaurant or hotel that I do reviews during my visit, the information is for others users really.

I can see no benefit to the members of ukp by informing the lasses of here. This is our site for our use and our discussions.

Must be a hundred posts now and still not one reason to inform WGs of this site.

There really is no upside to mentioning ukp to a prossie.....
 
It clouds review credibility (she could put a false performance on knowing a ukp review is coming).

It waters down punter integrity (it is seen has using ukp to pressure favour and blowing smoke up your own arse)

When it goes wrong (and it will go wrong) you've lost your anonymity.

Just pay, podge and leave.... do your ukp writing and reviewing after the event and keep it separate.

She now knows your aw, ukp and uke... that's fine whilst it's all smiles and cuddles but that can change quickly at this game.
