External Link/Members OnlyMeeting never happened. Basically booked her last week for today, got the address a few hours before. I don't know what it was but I felt a bit uneasy about the meeting, like I was expecting it to fall through, something just didn't feel right. Her responses were slow. Anyway 3 hours before the arranged meeting I messaged her on AW telling her I was black and if that was a problem. Didn't get a response.
An hour before the punt she texts me asking if I'm still coming, I say yes but I notice she hasn't read the AW message. So I text message her telling her I'm black and wouldn't you know it, it's a problem. On her profile there is absolutely no hint or mention of such a preference. Of course I have no issue with this but why not put it on your profile. If it's not there people will assume all is good, it was only because I had a weird feeling about things that I decided to ask it. Otherwise I'd have strolled up to Central London and either been sent packing or given a shite service because she wasn't comfortable.
Anyway, her message was basically that she doesn't mind mixed race or Jamaican men, but she specifically said no Africans, I would strongly advise avoiding booking if any form of black. This was all irrelevant to me anyway because I wasn't gonna come after that bombshell. Funnily enough, despite being born and bred English I do have half Jamaican half African in me
which I told her.
But yeah, you must make these things clear on your profile, I told her that and she said normally people tell her first but that's BS IMO, I basically never mention my race to a girl before a booking. If she says in her profile, no blacks/africans/caribbeans etc I won't try and book.
Saying that she was very polite in her messages, explained things and I appreciated that but it doesn't change the fact the booking failed because of her. I hadn't left my house but still another person may not see fit to ask those questions.
Anyway she said she'll change her profile to get this message across, hopefully she does.
