One thing about Kenya, and much of Africa, is that transactional sex is often the norm. There are plenty of women there who would never consider themselves prostitutes or escorts, and lead fairly normal, conventional lives, but are interested in 'dating' foreign men. Similar to sugar daddying in the West, just a lot cheaper. If you are white or South Asian and set up a Tinder profile, you will get dozens of matches fairly quickly and most will yield. Doesn't matter how old or fat or ugly you are, these girls swipe right on anyone who is not black. But don't treat them like normal dates, they will expect you to pay them for sex at some point.
If you punt in a conventional sense by calling escorts off the internet or going to brothels, there's a high risk of bait & switch, hard drug users, thieves, and general exposure to the criminal underworld.
