I wouldnt class a size 10 as gaining a few pounds i class it as healthy
If you think you're too skinny I'd recommend seriously getting into strength training and eating well, but go easy with the cardio, not too much of it.
For me BBW is a bit like a unicorn really, as in they don't really exist as I don't particularly like girls on the chubby side, BUT every once in a while you come across a girl that is fluffy and soft in such a cute and proportionate and sexy way. That is BBW for me, when a woman's body actually looks better with more meat on it that it would if she would be thin.
Most of the times though, when women put on weight, they put it in the most unflattering areas and it makes them look disproportionate.
