Author Topic: A parlour with a bar area  (Read 1319 times)

I was chatting to a punter in sheridans of Salford who was telling me about a parlour where they have a bar area and girls come to talk to you to entice you to do business with them. Apparently it's in Manchester area. Is that true?

Sounds like World Famous Babes in Swinton and in Bury.

Unfortunately both branches were shut down by Mr Plod years ago !

yes the good old days, gone but not forgotten, if the girls were free they would sit in the lounge with the punters .

I've not been however I believe that paradise studios in Sheffield may be more like a bar / lapdance club type venue where you can get the sort of dance you really want.
Looked on their website before and there used to be a list of girls but that seems to have gone now, probably don't want to advetise too much to plod

Looks like a good place to try in the near future
The website might be like GFE sheffield had less details on than the Bury branch due to plod / council tolerance

The only Manchester places I can think of is WFB used to be like that & xanadu but sadly both gone now
Illusions in Bolton used to have a pool table in the main area & Golden Angels is an old pub so would have a bar feel

What was the name of that parlour in an old warehouse near Piccadilly station? think it began with a C. Had my first 2-girl there around 20 years ago. they had a pool table, a bar, and girls sat around in their underwear with punters.

Bril find that Kenny.  Never visited the place myself but real interesting to see what has been left behind.
To a history buff like me the rest of the website is also interesting

I remember seeing that a few years ago after following a link on a punting forum

Not wishing to sound all prim and proper but combining alcohol with a punt is a dangerous mix.... I'm sure they'd lIke you to get pissed, loosen your grip on your wallet and make you loose your stiffy and your common sense.
Bookmakers have been agitating to be licensed to serve alcohol for years, it's the holy grail for them: a pissed gambler but it'll never be allowed.

Memories . Had one of my first punts here 15 years ago at least . You sat around with towel drinks served sometimes from the pub next door . The girls mingled sparcly clad playing pool or trying to encourage time in the bath. All very relaxed a bit like a German fkk but alas no more.

Not aware of an automatic breathalyzer connected to computers or smartphones which automatically bar access to gambling websites when drinks have been taken ....the bookies are doing just fine with pissed up gamblers thanks to today's technology. :D

btw, the bar at WFB's was complimentary. It wasn't abused and it made for a cracking relaxing atmosphere. I remember reading a field report years ago which described WFB's as like visiting a friendly local bar and SS as being like a private medical clinic. Spot on,I thought.

As well as WFBs (they were both cracking places - memories!), Cristal Main in Denton had a large bar area (believe it was a night club prior) - I used to sometimes go when the new Thai/Asian girl was there.

Cheers Mr C - I do recall reading something about that when Cristal's in Denton got shut. Had no idea it had links with a dodgy place  :unknown:

WFBs was brilliant
You could just have a drink and a chat if you wanted
I regularly saw a fantastic slim blonde (tattoos on her feet) called Sindy. She also worked at Buebells on Bell Lane Bury.
She just disappeared as WGs are prone to do.Often wonder what became of her
