Happy xmas and a ho ho ho.

Just wanted to get some info for a trip to Philippines in Feb - still debating in my mind whether to do Thailand again (not been for a good while) or try a new zone as heard good things, and reading posts here sound like it could be a good place to go. I assume cheaper than Thailand or am I wrong?

Would appreciate a bit of info on Philippines, where to go and where to fly to and stay etc.... the modus operandi is pure filth so answers based on that basis

Dude there is a ton of info on various boards, check out Phillipine addicts. A few points:
1. Yes it is cheaper than Thailand
2. On average girls are less professional and more friendly
3. On average girls in Thailand are prettier
4. Angeles is small compared to Patts
5. Hotels are not as good - tell me your budget and I will recommed a few
6. Food is shite
7. Nothing to do in Angeles apart from bar hops and chasing tail
8. Outside of Angeles there are some amazing places to visit

What can I add?
* Unless you just fly in, fly out, of AC, Phils is more hassle than Thailand (Thailand is very tourist-friendly).
* Infrastructure and organisation in most of Phils is almost non-existent compared to Thailand
* There are few places left in Thailand that could be described as 'paradise'; Phils has quite a few if you can arsed to get there.
* There's a lot of threads on Phils just now including a 'resident' Vivago. OP, are you sure you've RTFF mate??

If you have time why not do both? Fly to Bkk, stay a week, then fly Manila, go AC for a week, a week is enough, then fly back to Bkk, you can get flights Bkk to MNL for around £150.

As for hotel budget I would say budget is not an issue, but a clean decent place is all I ask - over the years stayed in some high end places that weren't as good as mid range and easily could be described as a complete rip off. Prefer places not in the centre of the scene as like a place to relax and swim in a pool, then dive back in when required.

I've not been personally, but I've read that many enjoy a break from AC by heading down to Subic for a few days. There used to be mini-vans that did the trip regularly.
You might want to check out budget internal flights in PI, as the Clark airport is a budget airline hub.
Boracay is the nearest I've come to as being paradise on earth, although there are limited P2P options on the island.
There is very little in Manila from a tourist point of view, so unless you want to head there for the P2P, my advice would be arrange to have a taxi waiting for you at Manila aiport ready to take you straight to AC.

Personally I prefer to stay on or near to Fields aka walking street when in AC, so it makes a easy trip back to the room with the hooker de jour, also some of the side streets at night may feel a bit dodgey.

I just counted back it was about 8 years ago! I'm guessing that it has almost certainly been more developed now. When I was there, like you, it was white sand and blue sea and palm trees :-)
I travelled around PI on my own and there were 'opportunities' for P4P in most places, although if the main purpose for your visit is P4P, I think that you would be disappointed outside of Angeles or Manila (didn't go to Subic)

Unfortunately Borocay is no longer the paradise it was - overdeveloped and overcrowded, on the plus side it has same great bars and is generally a great place to party. If you want a beach location with seclusion then head to Bohol or if your budget stretches, Palawaan.

The securtiy angle is overblown. I have been going for 15+ years and never had issues. Don't be an 'ugly tourist' or a 'stupid drunk' and you will be fine. Generally in the evening (2am onwards) I always walk back to my lodgings although some girls prefer to take a trike.

Hotels for your consideration:
1. Swiss Hotel
2. Central Park
3. Royal Amsterdam

These are on / v close to walking steet. I have stayed in all 3, Central Park is the plushest - all have websites and you can book direct

Perimeter area:
1. Euroasia
2. Boomarang

I have stayed in Euroasia - it is a 10 min walk to the start of walking street and has a great pool. Excellent value for money but rooms are basic. Avoid the America hotel as some of the girls may refuse to stay there.

Apartments - I tend to rent an apartment these days as I stay in AC for 3 weeks I like the extra room.

High End:
1. Lewis Grand
2. ABC

I have stayed in Lewis and highly recommend it if you are happy with the extra expense. It is a 15 to 20 min walk to the centre of the action (they do have a car that does round trips). Never stayed in ABC but only heard good things about it.

Regarding Angeles, I've read in a few places that the girls are cheaper than in Pattaya, but accommodation costs a fair bit more, yet, if the barfine system works as I understand it then it seems to be a bit hit and miss as to whether you're going to get the extra value of LT for 3000 pesos or end up with ST for the same price. From what I've gathered, you pay the bar say 2500-3000 Pesos (maybe cheaper at some lower-end places) to take the girl out, and the girl decides whether or not she wants to stay ST or LT. So, even if the girl agrees to go LT before you pay bar, what is stopping her from going back on the deal after 1 pop and leaving you in the lurch? I've no doubt this happens, just unsure as to the frequency.

I'd like to check out Angeles, yet I really don't like the idea of so much uncertainty, when back in Patts you can go to a beer bar, pay no more than a 500 baht bar fine (715 pesos), take the girl back for the night, then pay her 1500 baht (2150 pesos) in the morning after the deed is done; and if she wants to bolt early you just pay her a reduced rate.

It seems to me that Angeles is really only cheaper if you either a) frequent gogos a lot, or b) mainly use freelancers. I steer clear of gogos in Thailand usually, but from what I've gathered thus far it seems most bars in Angeles are a similar equivalent  (unless I'm mistaken, please correct me if so), at least judging by what I've found on youtube clips. In this sense Angeles does definitely seem cheaper.

I've recently returned from AC, many of the bars the BF or aka EWR is 3000 so around 50 quid, what I found was several girls only wanted short time, this never used to be common in AC, my problem being I usually pick the slutty pros who been in the game a while, becoming like Patts a little, but I did shag some beauties.

Regarding AC and how much fun you are likely to have all depends on the type  of girl you normally go for. If you like young (over 18) spinners with great facial features then it is likely most will want to bolt after a few hours. If you lean towards the older seasoned pros then you will have the opposite problem - how to get rid of them in the morning.

The scene has definitely shifted towards ST, primarily down to the influence of the Koreans as that is what they prefer

Most punters would probably want to have been to AC at least once to see what it is. It's almost a Patpong but the size of a large village. You can spend your whole time there without realising there is another part of the city (at the scruffy, rather boring end).

Vivago's travelling on a big budget so his game plan is a bit specialised. I like both ends of the spectrum, from street level to the top end, and the Philippines definitely offer that and less formulaic in my humble opinion than BKK. But the downside is hassle. The country has a rubbishy infrastructure, there's a fair crime level, transport is horrendous and most of the prossies (though Vivago may know differently) seem fairly uneducated for much beyond vanilla. Some of the natural scenery in the country is the most memorable in the world but the towns are 'memorable' for all the wrong fucking reasons.

Need to book tickets, hotel etc etc yet was looking for Thai so that maybe can stop over there for a night as well but more expensive so may just need to get on Phil airlines.

Follow the instructions which include changing a few android settings Eg. GPS accuracy. Then open up type roughly where you want to show you are e.g. Cebu and double tap on map and press play. It will then engage and then Open Badoo you can then see females around you (Cebu) and enjoy.

I have used this before on we chat but it didn't work. Then PRINCE1127 recommended Badoo with the same method and it works wonders.

Remember to disengage once done playing.

I must agree with all the above that the excitement of going to the destination makes you join the paid ones but being patient and joining 1 week early will pay dividends as your not BS the target.

Additionally just for any others interested. SA is reducing its price by £10 I think for a month subscription 5 days left to join so I'm timing to join just before it runs out and by the months end It will be just before i fly out to Jakarta so perfect timing enough for me to arrange several rendezvous and save some money. Every little helps as they say.

I seem to be having a lot of luck with SA website in London, have already met 2 people from there and man am I happy . They seem to be more like people in quick need of money due to credit card bills etc etc and send a message themselves for requesting to meet.

Feels Good if anyone has the SA membership active should not only use it for other places but U.K. as well
