Following on from a recent review of Molly, I just thought I’d share my latest experience. I’ve just come back from an appointment with a top North East SP.
It was excellent – and towards the end, we were chatting about both this site and UKE. She asked me not to post a positive review – and was unaware that I’d contributed to the Molly thread already – and I asked why.
She answered that too often, “positive” reviews were a problem. It seems that when one is posted, sometimes the reviewer gets seen as too fluffy, particularly if they are new. They get shot down and then defend themselves and are then seen as white knighting. So far, no problem, and I guess that’s suspicion and banter.
But here’s the thing that I hadn’t considered. There then often follows criticism of the SP from a third party … the one liner which says “when I saw her, she was rubbish” in some way or another. So the review has now turned.
The girl I saw yesterday is busy … always. She told me that she didn’t need the reviews, and she certainly didn’t want the “one liner criticism”, which, I expect, is probably hurtful. And some punters are taking it even further – the fantasists, or liars, who embellish the facts – ask Amelia about that one (she went right off my HL last week, but following support from this community is back on it)
I’d not mention it … but that’s now 4 in a row who have asked me not to review positively. And all 4 have come from previous recommendations through these two sites – that, in my view, is why my success rate is increasing.
Not sure what the solution is, but I guess we need to be careful in what might seem throwaway lines but could cause hurt, and in cases, loss of business.
