Reading the MEN link its not looking good really, running a brothel is illegal and if the police want to close places down they could very easily,  a brothel is where more than one lady offers sex, (as 90% of you know) which sandys and others clearly do the police just turn a blind eye to it. But the MEN says a warrant was executed for running a brothel,

If that is the case i think sandys will be closed and sandy charged with running a brothel if this is what the police intended to do, the website alone is enough to convict her it has a rota services offered and also all the punterlinks reports confirming sexual intercourse takes place. i guess they would have taken any diary with rotas in again showing more than 2 girls working.

My point being if they want to charge sandy and close the place they can do very easily. Fact, if they do or not i guess will come out over the next few days.

Is it just me or is this out of blue?  Sandys has been 1 of the worst kept secrets in Manchester for ages, I know people that are aware of it that don't punt. I think that's the least likely explanation. Neighbours have complained for years. The police don't give a fuck about that.
When brothels in Greater Manchester get shut down it's invariably because the pimps running the joint have done something else to get up Mr Plods nose.

The rozzers know exactly what goes on in parlours.  There was a TV documentary by RossKemp about the sex industry & they showed a 'visit' by the vice squad to Steam & Sun in Londinium.  Was watching it on the box & the OH paid some interest.  I nearly choked on my beer when i recognized the inside of the place.  Saying "i've been there wouldn't have gone down well"    The rozzers were primarily interested in trafficking & having a glance at the place to check for drugs / any signs of crim activity.  All seemed in order & the rozzers / film crew left.  S&S were shut-down for tax evasion AFAIAA.  Like SS, S&S was open for yonks

As an aside what a place S&S was:  loads of burds [although variable quality] / open virtually all day until 4am / bar area where the burds congregated / lockers - turkish bath - terry towelling robes if you wanted them / pukka rooms / v.good security & reasonable pricing [both the burds & the drinks].  You could stay as long as you liked & there was no pressure from the burds.  It was like being in Artemis - although smaller.  Coz SS is / was rooms only in effect then i'd rate S&S better - simply as it was somewhere you could go, have some [more] drinks & ponder who was available.  Mates of mine would go there late afternoon / early evening & then return in the wee hours [& you didn't have to pay the door entry twice]

If prosecutions are involved Merv won't be able to say anything for legal reasons.  Bloody annoying as that means other parlours won't know if its something specific to Sandys or part of an overall crackdown.

Sandys has always had a strict policy on drugs and trafficking so I don't know why they would be singled out.  Its a sad day if it has closed for good,

In light of many girls going to GFE, I punted Rebecca at sandys about 6 months ago who claimed that she in fact ran her own parlour in Bury. Not sure why she would work at SS if she had her own place or need to be WG there, but got me thinking if she is involved in many of the girls going to GFE. I've only just realized that they had trams down south after the Croydon incident.  Thought these were the preserve of the north    They have them in european cities.  When bladdered i'd safely negotiated lanes of cars & thought i'd make it to the other side safe & sound.  The fucking thing was well close

A friend came to work today with a black armband.  When i asked him why he just replied 'it's all over' He's been a regular since he came from Iraq and his subsequent divorce in 2008. Yes gfe in my opinion is second best to Sandys I spent a happy couple of years at the Sheffield one before I started doing 3 days at Sandys, most of the girls will be at gfe bury now I think, as for why Sandys was raided and shut down I don't think it's appropriate for me to make any comment right now sorry, other than what a shame that so many dodgy establishments are still open where trafficking drugs and money laundering are rife, Sandys was as legal and legitimate as a business could be in an illegal illegitimate industry!
