Unsure when or if email notifications are returning.
Problem is way too many members have old (i.e. closed due inactivity) email addresses which affects a good percentage of the 1,000+ emails this site sends out everyday, and email providers (e.g. Outlook) penalize senders who constantly pound their servers with invalid email addresses, affecting the deliverability of more important emails, i.e. password reset emails.
The obvious solution of forcing members to re-verify email addresses, implement automated bouncing, etc. is of course possible, but a pain.
