How do you guys usually arrange a punt?

Do you contact them in order and give each one a chance to respond or fire off booking requests by text or email to all at the same and time and pick between who replies and do you cancel the others or leave them in place in case the chosen "one" fails at the last minute?

I only phone WGs and always choose a plan A then if that goes tits up I ring my plan B usually a regular or party and book them. I wouldn't double book WGs as I see that as unfair and not something I want WGs to do to me.

Absolutely, I have been cancelled while outside the WGs place on occasion, or her phone goes off. In those cases its very likely in my view a regular of the WGs booked in after me and she took his booking over mine as she knew he was a definite to turn up whereas to her I was a maybe. I have also probably benefited by being the reg who phoned and the WG cancelled her maybe.

And same goes for a punter who booked a longer punt, I got bumped for him, these two things are very widespread in punting but the good thing with UKP is admin allows a negative review to be done on such punts or attempted punts, the only rule is the WG accepted the booking.

I would never book several and cancel as I would not expect a WG to do this to me. I have been stood up several times at the last minute but have usually managed to book a plan B at short notice. Always do some research before a booking to line up several "plan B's" who might be available at short notice.

I am with cueball on this, used to have a plan B but don't bother these days, very rare a plan A goes wrong because I mainly punt with my 2 regs

Just use the James the Cab patented plan...spend money on another luxury good...a good shirt, or a fine edition of a book.

One side effect is that more often you do it, the more you begin to doubt the entertainment value of punting...you often end up feeling you got more pleasure from the alternate spend.

I agree about not thinking with your dick but I always have a viable plan B usually a regular and unlike you I simply must punt that day, the next day or day after etc I might not feel like it. Leaving it for another day isn't a concept that works at all for me.

Whats fatal unless you get lucky is scrambling around for a last minute.com plan B or plan C, D etc, as I know from doing so in the past.

A harsh lesson learnt from some piss poor punts

I sometimes send 3 mails out 3 days in advance saying are you available. One replies the next morning saying yes I am available do you want to book?  I might chill until that night to see if the other 2 respond.  Then I will book one.

Annoying if the one I REALLY want to see replies the next day (day before my planned punt) and finally says she is free.  Do I cancel (still 24 hours in advance so I sorta can) or tell plan A girl 'sorry busy now, next time?

(Ok I'll tell you: I stay with the booking, since I do like all 3 or I wouldn't have sent note, and miss 'hard to get' is too likely to cancel. Plenty of fish I don't overly obsess with any escort.)

As of late since mid June (although there was good Friday) I've only been going for plan B's & C's because plan A always goes tits up due to no response due to being fully booked or so, although there was that one plan A that actually responded and the other I went to London for although I had to amend dates due to work reasons.

I don't know whether to move on and find new regulars or give up on plan B's entirely, even though some plan B's have been good where as others have not

For me it depends upon the circumstances.

If it's a short 1 hour incall I will book a girl via aw and if it falls through then I call another. If this doesn't work I often have a wank.

For longer punts where I may hire a venue, such as a dungeon /bdsm play space, I will book months in advance.

However recently I had booked and arranged a meeting with a girl who when I messaged her the week before we soon realised we'd had our wires crossed and it fell through. I put out the feelers on aw and did my homework here and managed to find a girl who I had seen before. The first girl to respond always gets the gig.

However work being what it is, and having to be flexible I have had punts where I have had last minute requests to be somewhere else and had to cancel. If this happens I give as much notice as possible.

Another scenario that I have experienced is where a punt is arranged a long time in advance and when I contact the girl the week before she doesn't answer. So I send her messages trying to keep the date, but if this fails I put out the feelers again and get someone else. I then cancel the first girl and do the punt. However recently I did this only to have the cancelled girl contact me saying she was ready for me to pick her up from the station and take her to the venue. Some girls should check their messages!

Some fuckers on the board are either devoting an inordinate amount of time to the hobby or know something I don't.

On a weekly basis I draw up and carry a list of (8 - 10) active prospects from my hot list detailing services, cost and phone number. At the 'start' of the day before a potential punt I go through the list in order of preference calling each one.  I use this to gauge if they are likely to be available, answer queries about services and agree how to book (what time and what medium).

My hit rate for availability can get as low as one in ten.

Late morning on the day, I follow up in order of preference of the top three trying in turn to make a booking. I have tried a horse race but found that less busy (and by implication less good value) WG's will tend to respond first. 

The above is not very effective but it is the best I have.

I phone on the day  but I think ahead. So for Monday, I have 3 possibles who I have seen many times and are all good. Of the 3, one will almost 100% be available.

I will also scout out new profiles on AW for a possible "gem"
