so i'm new to this hobby and like all new hobbies you want to do it a lot but my wage won't let me, :dash:
so thinking of getting a loan say 1000 quid, and do 1 aweek,

You will get out of this frame of mind pretty quick.

After my first ever punt. I had the second ever punt literally the next day with a different girl. And the third a few days after that. And the fourth a few days after that and so forth.

After about a month of punting to crazy levels - and also a very average booking which happened at the same time - things really die down and you don't want to do it as much.

Interesting post Anth. You would think that would be how it is for most new punters but funnily enough it wasn't for me. I had my first punts in the '80's but there were several years between them. Even when I first started punting multiple times per year from 1990 there were still months between them, consequently I was only having 4/5 per year.  it wasn't until around '93 / '94 that I really started punting in earnest.
I think this was for a number of reasons. Firstly my early punts were in London and Amsterdam and I didn't know prossies were plentiful locally. So I simply didn't know it was easily available.
Secondly until I started climbing into my thirties in the 90's I still believed I was going to get a permanent nice girlfriend which I'd hoped for throughout the 80's. By the time I hit my forties around '98 I had long given up and by then women of my own age had little appeal for me anyway.
Thirdly, initially at least, I believe I might have deep down still thought it was morally wrong or that I was a loser for paying for it. This feeling didn't last long!  :D

For about a 13/14 years from '94 to about '08 I then punted regularly before winding down again. For the past 3/4 years I have had less punts than at anytime since the 80's. Even at my peak I usually only punted 2/3 times a month and would seldom have one two days running. There were exceptions, particularly if I'd had a bad one, and several times I have had two in one day. Indeed on two occasions in London I have seen the same prossies twice in one day I was that taken with them at the time, and I once even had three punts in one day in London. This was only because I knew I would be travelling back soon and I doubt I would have behaved like this locally.

Punting is a vice (hence the Police vice squad)  A vice is an activity that grips the user in a constant spiral of reward seeking.

This is because of the dopamine reaction from orgasm - the brain seeks the same reward again and again. Probably the same with other vices, like gambling (the thrill)

I think punting is a triple whammy of the thrill of doing something illicit and risky, coupled with the dopamine orgasm reward, then the natural powerful drive to procreate, brought on by the sight of that curvy arse/hips.

Being an older dude, I am limited by the desire to punt more than once a week, so I manage to control the vice to maybe twice a month. The thrill seeking aspect is met by logging onto UKP - a secret society, unknown to others. I actually feel quite addicted to the site sometimes, I really enjoy it.

But, in summary, I doubt there is ever a way out of punting. Once a punter, always a punter.  I feel sorry for the younger, hornier guys, it's easier to manage when you're older and probably more disposable income too.

Mine certainly has waned. Even ten years ago I never thought it would, but these past five years it has waned unbelievably. I can't speak for everyone, but I suspect that when you reach a certain  (variable) age it does for most men, especially if you've spent many years punting.

I can relate to this. Having punted for the last 30+ years I have found that over the last 5/6 years or so I have lost much of the feeling of excitement and anticipation that I used to feel leading up to an encounter with a prossy. I still punt, (the Latest one being last Saturday morning) but something about it is not quite as it used to be.
I'm not saying that I don't enjoy being nuts deep in a fit young thing who's probably the same age as my grandaughter, but I sometimes feel as if time is definitely creeping up on me.

Yes I often used to feel the surge of adrenaline before a punt.  Haven't experienced that for years now.

Same here ----------------------- but our expectations have gone up over the years whereas some experienced punters on here are more than happy to shag anything with a pulse, quite sad really.     :(

I can't name them -------------- but they know who I mean.    :hi:

You must admit it's a bit daft considering getting a loan to fund punting. If you got a loan to jet over to Thailand and have 2 weeks punting in the sun I could understand.

Perhaps you need to study it more before posting. As do many other newbies actually.

Surely you expected criticism at the daft suggestion of taking a £1000 loan to fund punting?

unfucking real

You won't be here much longer with that attitude.

No Jim --------------- I disagree.

My holidays are funded by surplus cash ---------------- not a loan.    :hi: :hi:

Loans should be for an an emergency ------------ a loan has to be repaid.

If I was you I'd take on board the advice you've been given. Yes you've had a bit of ribbing but I can tell you now in a few months, if you last, you'll cringe at this post.

Read through the forum and the wiki pages. Someone even directed you to the bit about finances. And do your own research.

Personally I agree with you but was just trying to get my head around the idea of getting a loan for the sake of punting. :unknown:

Good shout FL, this forum has saved me from certain doom on any number of occasions - advice on phones and IT in particular.

OP - it's a bit of a lads club on here, so just get a few digs back in and listen to the advice from the seasoned punters. Stick around on here, it's worth it's weight for good advice / reviews.
