It seems to me that there is a growing amount of evidence on this forum and in articles such as the one Jimmy's posted that Romanian groups should be treated with suspicion for reasons that should be self evident. Indeed, there were two ladies on here recently writing about the way pimps from Romania speaking English have power over new women that do not and also they way the ladies are worked and have to hand over large amounts of their earnings.
Now I do not want to contribute to hyperbole about "trafficking" but I am not writing here about a narrow
definition of trafficking but a wider
one where there are cultural implications and language barriers that can be exploited by people; this also holds true in other work, such as domestic service where families from different cultures living in this country are able to confiscate passports and make people virtual
slaves in the house of the host. As far as I'm concerned anything that can be done to expose these people and discover the truth is to welcomed as if this is going on it is in neither the WG's or punter's interest that it continue unchecked.
I repeat, I am aware of the dangers of exaggerating trafficking but there is a wider issue here that I do believe is a real problem
