How long have there been driver-operated locks on the passenger doors?

In days of yore, the slappers would go 'guys-ing' at the end of the night. When they were skint, and needing a taxi back to no-man's-land housing estate. Chat up a drunk guy, invite drunk guy back making sure said drunk guy sits in between the two girls. When taxi stops in no-man's-land housing estate, slappers jump out and runlikefuck so drunk guy has to pay taxi.  :yahoo:  :dash:

London cabs have a system where if the cab is moving or the driver puts his foot on the brake then the rear doors can't be opened.
The problem is that experience "runners" are clever, they will ask you to stop at an ATM to withdraw cash ---- and then do a runner.  :( :(

or say there is a fault with there card!

More and more minicab offices are actually taking payment up front. Trouble is, the driver is less likely to get a tip that way.

I suspect many of them do passenger profiling, I use a "traffic light" system.

Not as bad as New York where you had better pass the money forward before yo get out of the cab - and tip 15 percent if you don't want abuse!

That niggles me. A cab tip is not really a tip in New York, not as I understand it anyway, it's just expected. Try skimping on the tip if they've been sat in traffic for a while! I tipped about 15% and this guy was asking for more.

When I tip in this country I just round things up so I don't have to break a note, this doesn't go down well in NYC.

I am not sure why people have singled out New York cab drivers. ??????
My experience of America is that tipping is a way of life, try walking out of a restaurant without leaving a tip.  :( :(

Regarding this country, I do not consider myself to be tight.
I usually only tip in a restaraunt if I have been impressed with the service,
even then I don't do a percentage of the bill, I just round the bill up to a logical amount.
If I'm honest I would never tip more than 3 or 4 quid.......Anywhere.
I have walked out of many restaraunts without tipping, if something hasn't been right.

I will go out of my way to avoid restaurants with a service charge, that is licenced robbery. My tip is influenced by the personality of the person serving me ------- on a £35 bill I would round it up to £40.

My general practice too. If the food was exceptionally awful I will withhold a tip though and explain politely. If it is exceptionally good I will ask comments to be passed to the chef.  With taxis, I'm influenced by where I am - in London I believe tips are expected, as they are in Glasgow. In Edinburgh they are not, so it is more down to whether I was pleased with the service and/or have loose change. I am more likely to tip if I feel other passengers would be offended if I didn't. I am more slightly more likely to tip in a (good) restaurant that I or my friends dining are likely to re-visit. My experience of New York cab drivers is that they are not very good at knowing where they are going. In such circumstances (ie where service is essentially poor by my standards) I will only tip where it is culturally expected - by the same rule one should generally always tip in American bars and restaurants/diners.

It annoys me when there is a service charge because I still feel obligated to leave a tip too and wonder ifg the waiter actually gets the service charge for himself.

Offline Wayang

My policy is always to delete the imposed service charge and pay the waiter cash (often a little more than the imposed service charge.)
I have only had a 'show-down' once at an Angus Steak House.  The Manager threatened to call the police so I asked in a loud voice 'how soon will the police be here?'  He was happy to see me leave (after tipping the waiter) when I said I was going to ask about the police again in a loud voice.

Spot on!

I just tried to vote but the tick boxes are absent (I use Chrome in Incognito mode)

For the record, it is neither a turn on or turn off... rather neutral.  I wouldn't seek out a prossie just because she was pregnant but if I was seeing her before she got knocked up, I might see her when she started to swell.

Had a punt with a girl in MK not too long ago who announced that it was her last day d/t entering her second trimester... I thought she was putting on a bit of weight ;-) I'd have seen her again but not because she was preggers... but not anywhere close to her due date!

I think I only set the pole to run for one week......Sorry.
I've changed the setting so the result is now visable (I think).

I see a girl who is pregnant with her second child. I first started to see her when she was 18 and single she is now 26. I slept with her for the first three months when she was carrying her first child, she then stopped doing full sex for 18 months, she is now 5months pregnant and randy as hell, so why cant I give her what she wants full sex and lots of it.
Banning reason: Outing AW name of another punter

I have seen 2 pregnant WG's in last year - one was 9 months to the day (was going to be induced the following week), other was 8.5 months.
Was very interesting. Def a turn on - for me.
Always keep an eye out for them.................

Ticked off the bucket list anyway. Just a few to go, including Naughty Girl Soph, but that's another story!

I have no interest in punting with obviously pregnant WGs. I also view them as having no respect for their unborn babies, exploiting them for cash, however its of course their business what they do.
