Author Topic: Thanks and congratulations for 6 successful years  (Read 2155 times)

Not much more to add but would like to say thank you to everyone involved. Not only Nik and admin but all the punter who contribute to the forum.

I would especially like to thank you admin for being open minded regarding seeking arrangements. It's not what you would call normal punting but punting non the less.

Here's to UKP.  :drinks:

Very true, they did laugh at us, they even started rival forums to mock us ----------- the fat, old pro$$ies on the other forum were desperate for UKPunting to fail but now it is the only credible punting forum in existence.    :hi:

+1  :hi:

One of the many cancerous problems with the 'old' set-up was the pro$$ies believing they were much more important than the paying customer.

Those days are long gone.

From a personal POV, I'm glad I found UKP early into my punting career. It's been a great source of help. I wasn't around before to experience other punting forums but it's obvious UKP puts the punter first which is why I have given back info on my experiences as it's only fair.

Congratulations.  This site has been invaluable to me since I have joined.  Hope it will be around for many years to come.

Years ago when Tripadvisor was starting I unwittingly queried about Prostitution on the Amsterdam thread, which I thought was a very appropriate question. What followed was a tirade of abuse and snidey fucked up comments of members with there heads so far stuck up there arses that my simple 2 worded explicit response got me a quick banning and early shower.

Later on found forums catering more to prostitution, but as previously said the power was always with the provider. And response times for many posts took weeks

UKP has changed that and has given power back to the paying customer and for that I am thankful for everyone thats contributed and especially the site creators, and founder members. I doubt this train will ever stop running now. TUKP  :drinks:

Its thanks to NIK and the punters who originally joined UKP and were genuine punters that UKP is here at all. Then to NIK for running it with a number of mods for a few years, Marmalade, Jacob, Redcab among them with admin running the admin side of things and then taking over himself to push UKP on and on to the position its in now.

I joined about 6 months after it started having been away from punting and punting forums for 6 months, I returned to the forum they and me had been posting on to find many punters gone, I couldn't understand it at first, I then spoke to my mate Steve2 and he explained the birth of UKP. I joined immediately.

NIK and admin you ARE the men, and its thanks to you 2 primarily that UKP has evolved into the great site for punters that it is now. Thanks and heres to the next 6 years and beyond. The fact is UKP is now by far the premier punting forum in the UK, its all a punter needs to locate good WGs and avoid the bad. I admire NIK more than he knows and admin too. I doff my hat to you. :hi: :drinks:

I could not say it better.
As someone who loves wearing hats I also take off my hat to you,

Thanks to Admin and all the punters. I don't think I would have ever plucked up the courage to punt without this site to read beforehand.

Ironically it took off late in my punting career!   I was already winding down when we started in 2010. Indeed I'd been punting many years before the internet arrived at all. Used to mainly use small ads in the local paper or just call in at a parlour. My very first punt in 1984, apart from an earlier parlour visit was booked through an ad in a men's magazine.
It really was a different world.

Was that a contact mag NIK.? I used to use both direct which cost more or indirect contact mags where I had to wait for a response back, I used an accommodation address for those and my porn vids in those days in the 80s into the 90s. Some had pics of the WG, problem was they were VERY bad photocopies and I often couldn't make out what she looked like anyway.

Yes, well done indeed.

Perhaps I asked for it but I received a lot of (let's call it) obstruction when I joined some 2 years ago.

I was confused about punting and even more confused by what was going on on UKP but I've settled in now.

Thanks to you all.

I now understand the reason for distrust or caution to newbies, I think I escaped it somewhat as I think my first post was a review.

Thanks to everyone who's been involved in running this site.  The quality of my punts has increased no end since I joined up thanks to the info posted on here.

Congratulations and thanks to all of you who contribute with reviews, many of you have saved me time and money on girls I otherwise would have booked blind.

Congrats and thanks to admin for hosting such a fucking vital-to-punters site. :yahoo:

Congratulations.
And more importantly, thank you to admin for putting in the work.
When you see how many deletions, pointless post reports and bannings admin has too wade through then i can only thank admin for keeping the site on the rails.
We salute you.

UKP for president !! Oh, wait....  :scare:
Thanks are also due for finally weaning me off Facebook - I'd far rather glean proper knowledge off here  ;)

No, seriously... to the outsider and unsuspecting newbie, this place could seem initially harsh and unforgiving, but those who stick it out quickly understand why it's monitored with such rigour. UKP is an excellent resource. Admittedly, I have no idea what the other sites are like and it's always interesting to read the input from other, more seasoned punters that have been doing this longer than I. Pre-internet days, even. Hard to imagine, really.
There's great community spirit here - even when tempers flare. Kudos to all, and extra salutes to founder, Nik and Admin, he of few words but incisive commentary on the Reasons for Banning strapline  :sarcastic:

It was a different world back then, and although there's more clarity now, it was probably more exciting pre-internet era.

In the words of Young Mr Grace on 'Are You Being Served?', "you're all doing very well!" :drinks:
