Just clicked on the sort by views option at the top of the review thread and noticed that the vast majority of the least viewed reviews are negative reviews  and the vast majority of the most viewed reviews are positive

Found this interesting and wondered what the reasons for this could be as there is a lot to be gained from negative reviews. Sometimes a lot more than from positive reviews (imo)

Also was just wondering what goes through the average members mind when they go onto the review page. When you're looking at a page full of reviews how do you decide which ones you are interested in?

For myself if I see the word ass or dt its an instant click and read  :sarcastic:

Reviewer and location if the location is in the title and I have asked punters to please put the area and first bit of the postcode in titles but some still don't. Also the WG herself of course, I might be interested in her and then see a review on her get posted up.

I read positive, neutral and negative reviews on the boards that mainly interest me, London and East England in the main, always good to see new reviewers put a review up assuming they are genuine. I commented in reply to a couple of East England punters the other day that it was good to see that board now having more reviews because it was very slow for a long time, and to please keep the good work up.

I read negative reviews frequently as it can build on your own experience.

1) Reviewer - guys that I know have similar tastes to me
2} Negatives on girls I was planning to see
3} Positives on girls I was planning to see.
4) The occasional random positive or negative where I'm not really interested, but just to keep in touch about possible horrors or gems.

Agree that Negative reviews are very useful and have no doubt saved me some money in the past.
If I find someone I like the look of on AW, I always look to see if they've been reviewed.
I look at quite a lot of the new SE reviews to see what's interesting.

I look at all reviews in the Yorkshire and Humber regions and the negative ones are very valuable. These can help decide to have a punt or not and the negative ones usually give us good reasons to avoid punts with crap prossies. Some get positive after positive and its great to know you can book a punt with a great degree of certainty, it will be a good one. The negative ones have certainly saved me a few quid as I have followed the intel and not bothered, otherwise whats the point

I have never looked at another area board as I never punt outside of my area, never realised till today. I will have a look around you never know what intel it will give me.

I only read reviews both pos/neg pertaining in the london sections only.

I mainly just read the London reviews, there are certain reviews I read because I respect the reviewers opinion and I can get a good idea whether I would punt with the girl based on their review.

Similarly I will read reviews of girls I have punted or plan to do so in the future, there are also other reviewers whose reviews I will read for the amusement factor...

In terms of serviceservice,  if the title mentions hard deepthroat /sloppy oral that also gets my attention

Online fatboy

All reviews in my region and then by number of reviews by reviewer. If a girl takes my fancy I will look for other reviews by the reviewer to see what floats their boat. Although we are all after the same thing ( getting your end away) how we go about it and with who is very varied. I try to get a 'feel' for the reviewer - ooer, missus,
to see if he likes the same things as me.
All reviews are interesting and good information so always worth looking at to see what is going on.
I find it fascinating that after a period of time without sex  you can stumble across AW and UKP and with the exchange of a few quid your life is transformed. FB

I only read reviews from my own punting area both positive and negative.

East Anglia is a large geographical area so I do tend to concentrate on my own part of East Anglia.

As Smiths says above its good to see a bit more activity in this area after it being dead for quite some time so well done all you guys that have " Come out of the closet" figuratively speaking  :P

Positives have put WG's on my HL whereas Negatives have saved me a few quid over a period of time.

As a person whose "Glass is half full" I do tend to treat other reviews with the same attitude that I tend to have and you can get a feel for people over a period of time.

I'm sure other punters will feel the same about my reviews and know that it must have been pretty crap for me to leave a negative. Even a Neutral for me would be a negative for others.

IMHO reviews are the lifeblood of this site.

I stick to the London reviews.  I read the positive reviews to see if I like the sound / look of a girl; if I do I then look at the link that says "8 reviews found" and read those to judge whether or not she goes on the hotlist.

However, I don't know if that counts as a view of a topic - probably doesn't so that may explain the reasons for the skew in stats.

I only read negative reviews if it's on someone I've punted, or the page count has built up and it's likely to be entertaining reading.

I read every negative review in my regional board, sometimes just for the comedy value but also to pick up any unscrupulous tactics used by girls.

Only read positives about girls that have sparked my interest.

If the review of the WG is in my location I'll read it whether its a positive or negative. Reviews always have some interesting information in them.

My priorities:

1. Any WG that I'm considering on AW: I search the AW ID on UKP for reviews
2. My area
3. Specific interests- in my case BBWs, eg
4. Curiosity - anything that sounds out of the ordinary, positive or negative

I do also take into account the reviewer in weighting the value of the review

I don't consciously choose to read negatives over positives or vice versa.

I usually read:
- London section.
- Forum's darling neutral/negative reviews. Make the popcorn and read all the further comments  They are surely interesting.
- quick read of the darling's positives.
- reviews for prossies in my HL.
- as other said, reviews from members with similar tastes (DT, anal, oral specialist, PSE or GFE with good look).
- quick check and read of other reviews to find new additions for the HL or to update the Wiki lists.

On the contrary I usually open but don't read the reviews for massage only providers and when the location is too far for me (South London) with few exceptions.

In the London section at least, the majority of reviews are positives. I read if I've seen the girl or have an interest in seeing her. I read negative reviews for heads up on avoiding bad experiences or for amusement.

Negative reviews on UKP girls with 11+ pages make a night for entertainment.

Offline Steely Dan

Positive reviews need to be read since I might choose to make the effort to see them.

Negative reviews I might not read - what is the point of reading?  'Here is an ugly shitty girl look at her'  Sorry life is too short. But it is so incredibly valuable that they are there.  When I look on AW, and certainly before I punt, I will always check the AW number.  If there is a negative, I probably will avoid (depends on what it says - the why is of course important).

So a positive might help me decide a next punt soon.  But a negative is there as a resource for some time in the future to save me from future shit.  So I write both and I hope all of you will too.
