Police visits - vice crackdown

Saw this on the other escorting forum posted by a WG.

"Just to give people the heads up that the CID in Cumbria are actively visiting escorts, and even suspected escorts unannounced to check on their safety. There is a big vice crackdown happening in Cumbria at present.
It's not just foreign girls they are visiting either.
They have set up a direct link with hotels in the areas, such as Carlisle and asked that they ring them directly if they even suspect a female travelling alone may be a sex-worker.
I was visited recently without warning and caught completely off guard. They were fine - pleasant even, but it still a jarring experience when you are not expecting them or are aware they are doing this."

Me and the Mrs know quite a few plods in civvy life. Even if it is legal - last thing you want is a plod that knows you (when they also know your wife) walking in on you - not good.

Sounds like the checking safety angle is the official line to the girls but logically they are checking for forced or trafficked girls.
Agree if you know coppers it would be awkward if your mate caught you with your pants down so to speak

Lancs Police have been doing this for months and it doesn't seem to have caused any problems yet...
Those two Romanians I got to know quite well thought it was quite nice of the Police to be so caring, even gave them coffee and biscuits when they turned up
Allegedly conversation went something on the lines of
"Hi girls are you prossies?"
"Of course we are! Why do you think we're in our knickers and bras? And why else would we be here?"
"Is there a bloke living here with you"
"No, don't be stupid, just us. You can come and see the bedrooms if you like...."
"Have you got enough food to eat"
"Sure, we're fine! Come and have some coffee and biscuits"
So they had the coffee, exchanged phone numbers and went on their way

Next time I saw the girls they said "the young policemen in this country are very nice to us..."

I actually think it is a good thing for all of us. Hopefully they will find the girls here under duress. None of us want to visit girls that aren't willing participants in the first place.

I was in a Thai shop in Ashton in makerfield on thursday enjoying a nice massage when a lady came in room to advise thad visitors in the front of the shop!!! Think they were just checking identification of girls but they had a very good look around!! Have to say really un nerved me and im a regular thai visitor!  The owner was advised all shops being looked at.
