For a long time in Edinburgh I never limited searches to prossies displaying phone numbers as it ended up with too few. Now the place is swamped with EEs but EE or not, many don't display a phone number. It doesn't matter to me if I've seen her before (which means usually I have her phone number anyway) but in terms of wasting time for a new punt I'm finding it increasingly annoying. A same day appointment when the phone number is unknown is the biggest asking-for-time-to-be-wasted I know of.

Do you have a policy that works for you? If so, what area? And city or out of town?

My punting windows dictate I know in advance when I'm going podging. I tend to make the arrangments a few days before. If there's a phone number displayed I'll call, if not, I'll email with mine and still sort over the phone if possible.

I very rarely book same day appointments and I've found the success rate of same day bookings poor.

I find offering up my punting phone number first if hers isn't displayed works well, I'll usually get a phone number in reply. It's a punting phone so I don't worry too much over its security, it's unregistered and cheap as chips.

I much prefer a natter prior to making any firm plans.

It's a rare event for me to go to a WG who doesn't advertise her number - but on the occasions I do, I only send a single exploratory message . If there is no answer, then not really worth following up IMO

I prebook a couple of days before almost always via AW or email.  The phone number is of little importance to me except the day of the booking. I send my number over with my booking details. Sometimes the girl wishes to speak with me before the punt so I send my number through with the first communication.  My experience has been that the more part time girls do not post their number. I have a surprisingly high hit rate with this method. Almost 75% respond to my enquiry.

Yes, but, I've thrown the towel in with plan b's. It's usually a bloody faff and disappointing.

If I don't see who I intend to see then I don't bother seeing any bugger. Money stays in my pocket and I go another day.

Not really, I have a running pool from previous enquiries. Also when I wish to punt I send out two enquiries.  If both come back I book one further into the future.

I agree with cueball regarding short term plan B's or spur of the moment bookings. They never work for me and lead to punter's regret. Rather keep my money now.

It's a little different down here in London because we have a vast choice.  Here is what I do.  I search for those displaying the green available light. If the number is there I call, if no answer I send a text stating I want to book in. If an hour passes and nothing comes back I phone the next girl.

An hour is all that's needed.

I'm a last minute punter so a display number is essential, if it's not there then I just move on.

If I am seeing a regular then I have the number already so not a problem.

I've only got one in my hotlist with no number, could be a private gallery scam, might not be, but I'm not too bothered about it either way, I'll just not message them and not bother any time soon.

On my first punt, despite being available today, the number wasn't available, so I had to google and found it elsewhere, although a different number was used for vivastreet.

Others have their numbers come and go irrespective of available today as I think it is paid for separately, so in this instance as soon as you spot it, save it to contacts for a rainy day. Conversely, when you are done, it is probably better to delete the contact.

I e-mailed one girl a few weeks ago and despite being available today and displaying her number, she didn't check or reply to the e-mail for several days and by the time she saw it she finished touring and went somewhere else instead.

I did text one girl last Monday about a Wednesday appointment, but she was finishing touring on Monday night and the Tuesday morning she was going home. I could have possibly made Tuesday morning, so I asked if she was available for one for the road. 4 hours later she text me back saying she could do earlier than I'd have liked, but by that time it was too late, as I had made other non punting plans.

There shouldn't be a set time limit to move on, everyone and their situation is different. An hour could be too short if you e-mail or text a girl at the start of a one hour booking and many do not read their emails unless it is the start of a day, end of the day, or a quiet period so you may have to give a good 24 hours minimum and hope for the best.

Given my situation at present I'm probably going to be better off with impulsive same day short notice punts when the mood strikes, but it isn't always going to be practicable to be wandering around for hours, or getting a response and having to rush to make it, so a little bit of forward planning can help.

With regards to telephone numbers. What I have noticed is that girls will only display them on their profiles on the days they are working. And its used as their "available today" notice that you can also buy.

The thing to do with AW is save searches on there with "do not enjoys" ticked for the search so that girls with stuff you know only the PG scammers, or dodgy ones will tick,

So basically do not enjoy Bareback, Unprotected Sex, Hardsports giving/receiving. This will remove a good few profiles.

Then use the nationality and select exclude Romanians

And for the rest, then just using the blacklist option - so basically any girl you know you will never want to see, just click blacklist profile. This means she will never again come up on searches.

Spending 30mins going through the region blacklisting all of the profiles of girls you will never-ever want to see saves a lot of time in the longrun as it means when you search only a small amount of girls will popup.

I haven't done this before, but just done it now and if you use the nationality search if you select "include" and then select British.

What you will get as your hits is only British girls who have verified their profiles. So you are pretty much by doing this guaranteed she will be a genuine girl open for a booking and someone worth considering. It really does get rid of the dredge in one swoop doing this

I never really got the idea of calling WG's and only time I've spoken on the phone is when I'm in the area and they call to give full address.

I use the AW messaging system or text if numbers are displayed, I usually message 3 or 4 and give them 2 hours to confirm availability for next 3 days. If no response I move on

I just send a short but polite email to ones I fancy, asking for their number and general availability.
Those who reply with a number, I paste into their aw notes for future use.
Get about 50% response.
