In my experience the hotel don't give a toss what you do, or who comes to your room as long as both you and the wg act and are dressed like normal human beings. I've had at least 2 dozen punts in hotels in the last couple of years and never had an issue at all.
If the hotel you're in has key card access, simply get the wg to let you know when she's outside, and go and meet her outside or in the foyer. Although saying that, I've had wg's come direct to my room even though card access was required and I've offered to meet them outside. I've never asked how they did it, not my concern!
