External Link/Members OnlyContext: Looking for a P&D or maybe 30 mins in a time-contrained slot in a location between home and Croydon. After too long searching came up with Aya (or her flatmates) as she (they) seem quite well-reviewed here.
Comms: Seemed to go quite well and we agreed a time for 30 mins.
What happened: I arrived about 6 mins early, easily parked very nearby and texted to be told "give me 10 mins someone come check water" ... which of course was not 100% believable... After 12 mins wait I texted for an update - reply "not long", "2-3 mins". Another long pause of 5 or 6 mins by which time I'm walking - then 22 mins after I arrived I get "you by main door?". I wasn't - I was on my way back to car as I was really out of time by then - but my dick said "go back for a 15 min P&D". So I headed back to main door and replied "yes". At this point I think we all expect fairly immediate comms to be be let in ... but nothing. And it's not the most comfortable place to be left hanging - so after about another 3 mins I walked, by then 18 mins after my booking time.
If I hadn't been so pressed for time I would probably have been just about OK to wait - but I don't find being really p!SS€d off is a great way to start a punt...and I really was already going to be very late for where I was heading so didn't really have any choice but to walk.
Footnote: Habitually unreliable comms and punctuality, double bookings, ghosting etc is clearly very useful intel, but wouldn't it be great to be able to easily distinguish between negative reviews like this and ones where a punt actually happened? Maybe a 4th category (in addition to positive, neutral, negative) would work?
