In my experience, the actual number of girls who turn up to work on the day is always significantly lower than the number that were scheduled to be on at Temptations (and, I imagine, most parlours).
I've called into Temptations to find they only have 1 or 2 girls on quite a few times. Seems to be more common on quiet days, understandably.
