I think even if the excuse given was genuine then an offer of compensation may have been welcomed and all of this most likely avoided.

She gave an excuse, whether you choose to accept it or not is totally upto you.  Why you think you deserve compensation for it because of what's happened though I don't understand.

I've not met her though so don't know whether or not she'd offer some form of compensation as a good-will gesture.  If she does, it's at her discretion though

I assume you mean me. Yes I've left feedback for her on AW. I've seen her 3 times. I imagine half the board has seen her.

I didn't dispute the OP's complaint. I didn't defend or justify anything she did or didn't do. I merely stated why I thought things had gone down as they did. So how is that white knighting?

Some WG's are trying to prevent family members, boyfriends, ex boyfriends and even regular punters from finding them....We may know who they are because we belong to this forum but others don't and therefore, the girl in question seemingly disappears.

Any other business you'd been right - but as we've seen on here this game attracts plenty of weirdos, stalkers, angry ex-boyfriends, upset Dads, nosey work colleagues, suspicious landlords, moral citizen vigilantes and curtain twitching neighbours.

Poor girls are obviously trying to hide bad feedback, but the decent ones could have a dozen or more reasons to want to change name. Any one of the above finding out and you could be out of business at least for a few months while you relocate and change identities.

I know we want to keep track of the good 'uns but if they are outed it means less choice for us of girls willing to take the risk, so I think we should respect their wishes. And that sort of info can always be exchanged by PM between established punters.
