Now this is very off topic but, Do we have any tec brains here? Wanting to move Apps from my old phone a Samsung A12, I did say old! to my new one (not as yet bought) probably going to be a Samsung S25, Can it be done somehow with a USB-USB cable? I know there is an app available that does it but not sure how it works, Don't want to make a hash of it and fuck things up.

I recently upgraded my Samsung phone and was worried about transferring stuff from my old phone to the new but a very kind sales assistant did it for me ( Tesco mobile)  There should be a setting on your new device for transferring data from one item to another.  It can be done linking the phones by cable or even remotely by having the phones side by side. No need for any additional apps. I'm no techno expert but it is a pretty straight forward process. What I would advise is writing all your phone numbers and important information in a notebook so if any info doesn't transfer over you can still re enter them manually. You can even go online to see how it's done, there's plenty of helpful videos posted on you tube showing you how to do it.
I have transferred no end of stuff from my phone to my Samsung tablet and if a techno numpty like me can do it so can anyone. :hi:

I think Samsung have a process similar t9 below.

Apple certainly do, when you go to setup it asks you hold the phones close together and everything copies from one to the other

Whenever I've changed Android phones the Apps move themselves automatically as long as both are using and logged into the same Google user account. It can take a day or two to install them all and it's quicker if you attach both phones to your home wifi, but it "just works"

If your staying with a Samsung device then there is an app called Samsung Smart Switch that will do it all for you. You just need to install it on your current device if it's not there already.
