Just a guess, but more likely to be former food takeaways, or the flats above takeaways

I never thought of that as I've never been to a setup like that but it makes sense as there are thousands of these around the country and probably a better business model than an actual takeaway!

You think? I highly doubt it. Complex organised rings Chinese woman working out of random flats in every corner of the UK.

IMO much more to it all than the odd ex takeaway/flat above. You just need a glance at Vivastreet. They’re undoubtedly the most prolific organised traffickers going in the UK.

In February 2020, police learned a flat in Dennistoun was being run as what was described as a "Chinese brothel".
Another brothel was discovered at a flat in Garnethill as well as two more in Glasgow - in Dennistoun and Port Dundas - with one in Edinburgh's Old Town.
In May 2021, it was then found that Qin Huang was operating from a new premises for "sexual exploitation" in Townhead.
There was a further sex-for-sale flat in the city's Kelvinbridge.
