I know most men have problem with remember dates such as valentine day and their wedding anniversary but I do not have that problem with remembering mothers day. I love my mother  :hi:

as regards flowers being expensive. I recommend leaving the flowers and buy a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates or even better to take her to the spa.  :hi:

Last year my mom wanted to go somewhere expensive so I took her to the petrol station  :D
Seriously,  all the restaurants and pubs will be mega busy on mothers Sunday so will take her out during the week and to the garden centre and treat her to some nice plants and flowers for the garden.

Could be a good day to go punting
OHs doing MD mullarkey
Not quite as good as Valentine's Day however i sense a quiter day for SPs & massage burds
Harvesters will be busy
If i suggested a Harvester to the civvy it would [edit: likely] be termination of relationship

My mum sadly suddenly died some years ago. I still visit her with flowers at the local cemetery 🪦 on mother's day and have a good chin wag.

Flowers will be expensive.

Supermarkets are by a distance the best place to buy flowers, miles cheaper than a florist and almost always better quality.

Or buy something else they like and possibly lasts longer, does it have to be formulaic?

I made the mistake of booking a tour over mother's day weekend a couple of years ago, the Friday and Saturday were great the Sunday was absolutely terrible,  I've never had such a quiet day only 1 booking and he cancelled as he'd forgotten (like me) that it was Mother's day  :dash:
Never made the mistake again and never will

It must be hard for you and others who have sadly lost a mother.
Along with christmas and their birthdays.

People who have still got their mums need to treasure them and the moments they have together.  :drinks:

Congratulations  to all those who still have a Mum who loves and cares about them.

My mother was a 100% witch.  My grandfather  ( her Dad) died a few weeks before I was born.  He left  a fairly substantial amount in his will for me  when I reached 18 ,(obviously knowing I was due shortly).

Amongst her many other shortcomings as a mother, when I turned 18, I asked about the inheritance ( since she hadn't mentioned  it - my (older) sister  knew about it and told me,). Mother flew into a rage, opened her purse and threw  five £1 notes in my face,  saying she had spent the rest "raising me".

There are myriad similar unpleasant memories.

My mother raised me all by herself. I do sometimes wonder whether my dad would've rather spunk on my mums boobs then using his spunk to create me  :unknown:

My mother always puts her kids first, even now and we are all adults.

Here is to all the good mothers out there  :drinks:

A quality post, unlucky  :dash:
The punters on the Fri & Sat could well have needed the tanks being emptied to get through the sunday
Loving their mum, OH in tow
I could imagine a punter trying to book a parlour visit, the maid trying not to sound too keen on a quiet day
'now let me see when i can squeeze you in'
'we have a couple of slots available pretty much the whole day, what time did you have in mind ?

I have a good punting opportunity this Sunday but looking at my hot list and speaking with an agency who have only two working ( that I don’t fancy) it could be an opportunity missed as so few are available unsurprisingly.
Hope all those SP’s and SS’s with Mothers still around have a fab day  :drinks:

it would not surprise me if more wgs work over the Christmas period than mothers day.  :unknown:
as mothers day is only one day whereas Christmas is celebrated on multiple days.

Yes that’s what I was thinking
Fortunately, today I got a booking sorted on Sunday morning with a young lady who will then go off to take her Mum out.
Looks like it will be a good day for me too !  :yahoo:
