A lot of things were fairly uncontroversial then. I think Oliver Reed would have been pleased. (It seems to have been fairly minor special effects).
I imagine Johannsen would be more concerned about “Lucy 2” starring herself when she had nothing to do with it and no profits from it.
There’s also a question of intellectual copyright that is being trashed when publishers re-release for instance Enid Blyton in a more ‘woke’ version. What’s next … Huckleberry Finn, Gone With the Wind, Homer’s Odyssey?
AI can make realistic ‘works of art’ — minus the original genius. I’m not saying Enid Blyton is a work of genius but campaigners take easiest pickings first.
