Apologies, I know there are loads of posts about this but I'm still confused. I want to resurrect an old Nokia that's got an expired SIM. I just want to buy a new PAYG SIM anonymously for cash. I don't want data or any kind of 'bundle' or plan. I just want to top up when I need to using a linked top up card or vouchers, no expiry date on the credit. I'll use it a few times a year so will make at least a couple of calls every 6 months. What's the simplest way to go about this? Ta.

Hit the newsagents as some will still do vouchers for cash. Same with the SIMS and you can get them in supermarkets for example usually around the tills or cig counter. Just keep going round shops until you find what you want. How you register/activate the sim once in your phone might be an issue I can't remember, but there is the research yourself part. I can't off the top of my head remember what companies to recommend, but some companies even post you out sims for free, but less anynomous obviously. They might give them to you from their own shops, but again can't remember if they want your details.

no expiry date on the credit

I think you will do very well to get that !

RWG mobile has a PAYG SIM.  Order the free SIM on their webpage.
5p-5p-1p call, txt, data.

Credit does not expire but you have to make 1 call every 90 days to keep the SIM alive

- Top-up is starts from £5.
- Can top up online with a card. *Its not an instant update like other Sims.  Eventually gets credited to account.
- Can buy a NOW mobile e-topup from Tesco or paypoints. Good for anonymity once you have SIM in hand.

They have some good 1yr SIM plans, and occasionally lifetime plans.

Not quite the same thing I know, but even though I hardly ever use my Lebara sim, they are extremely reluctant to switch me off and encourage me to stay by giving me either free text & calls or data. I am by no means an expert on this ( in fact I don't have a clue tbh ) but I just wonder if someone with more knowledge and understanding of these things than me will tell us if its worth the original OP investigating this ?

I think you’ll struggle with this however….

I have a sim from ‘3’ which I bought anonymously in Argos for cash some time ago. It can also be topped up anonymously via cash in shops with pay point - I.e. the Co-op

I think I have to make a chargeable call every six months and the calls texts are very expensive. But it has the anonymity I was looking for. No registration, all cash

It all comes down to whether the network insists you register with them. I can’t find the one I bought anymore. You’ll have to do the legwork on whether registration is required or not

I maybe wrong but I was under the impression that you now have to register any PAYG SIM card.

You've been here a while mate, have you not had any punts during that time you could have reviewed, that is what the site is all about after all.

I don’t know the current situation. However my 3 sim, which I have had 2-3 years, was bought with cash and is unregistered  :hi:

My Vodafone PAYG 1
External Link/Members Only

Costs £1 for the first call or text of the day, then unlimited texts, calls and 50MB of data for the rest of the day.

Compares favourably to SIMs that charge 20 / 25 pence per minute.

The card expires after 60 months inactivity.  I've lost one recently and just bought another, no need to register, though have had a couple of calls from Vodafone inviting me to do so.

I've just downloaded the "Text Me" App. Personally find it less conspicuous and easier to use having an app on your existing phone, as oppose to messing about with SIM cards or punting phones.

Just had a look at this, interesting. Thanks for mentioning it.

I have two. EE in a basic Nokia & Lebara in an Alba smartphone bought from Argos for £40. Both need a call, tx sent, or top-up every few months to keep them active. Bought the Alba in case need mobile data any time while on the road.

It's been a very long time since I punted. Closest I got in a while was a legit massage on holiday. Lost all my confidence, trying to build up my courage to get back into it.

I did try that for a while but it does depend on having good 4G/5G coverage to work. One time I turned up to the location on a new-build estate to find that there was no data.

What was interesting is that it showed me which of my contacts was also using the app..

Get back into what?? you've been here 8 years do you expect us to believe you haven't seen any escorts you could have reviewed during that time?

If that's the case not much point in you being here.

I usually suscribe to those ridiculous cheap  £1.5 a month promo plans from low cost providers like lebara for 6 months using fake names but paying with paypal. There is any risk in doing it this way?

Looking for one myself and came across this External Link/Members Only
Seems cheap at 2 quid a month.

How do you get it anonymously?
That link : you have to give name / address to get the SIM delivered.

I found if you buy from O2, which lets you carry the credit forward, by using it once a month. You purchase it with no ID. Then you go back to the shop after three weeks, by then its on the system,  and ask them to remove the restriction, while you are there to prove you are over 18, and no ID has to be shown. Maybe one week would do, but I leave it three weeks just to make sure.
