What are civvies and ONS?

First of all, apologies if this is an obvious question. It might be the fact that I’m not native in English.


I came a few posts/answers that mention the “Civvy route” or One Night Stand (ONS) but even after googling, I’m not able to tell what are these and how different they are from hiring a SP. Can someone explain a bit further?

ONS is One Night Stand

A one night stand usually means you shag on the first date… so to speak.
It’s not something you would refer to when paying for sex (it’s just not a date is it)
So it’s a term used in civvy street 😂
