I've searched these forums for an answer to this but the question has never been answered with any degree of certainty.

When trying to access a SP profile on AW that has been disabled/deleted/made invisible etc a number of different error messages appear to be generated.

"X is no longer active on this site. We have searched for other members that operate in the same area"

Is one, but I've come across this error where the feedback for the corresponding member is sometimes available and sometimes not.

An example will make it clearer

Says she is no longer on the site, but feedback page can still be accessed

Where feedback says the SP has gone

I also occasionally get “404 File Not Found HTTP/1.1”, but the corresponding feedback page is still showing.

I've also seen instances where I've got the message "This member is no longer active on the site" on the feedback page only for them to resurface a few days later, same profile, same name, feedback and original photos restored etc.

Does anybody know a for sure way of telling if a SP has gone for good or if they have just made their profile invisible? Got a few I was interested in seeing but not sure whether to keep checking to see if their profiles resurface or write them off for good?

Any help or advice appreciated.

A lot of it simply depends on how AW have handled a complaint about an account. They've got various ways of disabling accounts and there seems no rhyme nor reason to it - I suspect their admins each have a pet way of doing it

I think 404 File Not Found HTTP/1.1 means that their profile has been deleted and they're gone. Different pages and functions of the AW website handle "not found" errors in different ways.

The message "member not active" in red text means they've temporarily inactivated their account.

The message "member not found" message shown as a window over the site means they're gone gone.

The feedback is hidden is an option on your profile. SPs sometimes do this if they've received bad feedback or some idiot has made a stupid statement in their feedback.
