Author Topic: Buying credits on AW  (Read 1074 times)

Tried searching before asking the question.

I want to try reverse bookings on AW and that involves buying credits.
How does one go about that without giving real identity and bank details away?

1.Select the "Cash/Prepaid Voucher" option on the AW Buy Credits page and it'll give you the details of Neosurf vouchers from Paypoint. There's a link to the Neosurf/PP site where you can find local stores that sell them.

2. Go to local store and ask to buy one for a particular value using cash just as you would for a mobile phone top up voucher. Some stores don't have a clue about how to sell them on their tills, but tell them they're from Paypoint and they might be able to find them on the till.

3. Go back to AW Buy Credits page and redeem the voucher. Job done.

Now you can pay for reverse booking ads.

There must be a dozen threads on this.  Is OK - we are only gently judging your ability to search :)  Top tip: look at the PuntingWiki, it lists the threads.

Anyway, I'll re-share my solution.  Like a punting phone, you need punting card.  These are not fool proof, but are better than doing it from your joint bank account.  I use mine for paying for day hotels and sometimes parking charges.  Or even buying a snack when I am in a different place than I am supposed to be.  And yes, AW sometime back.

I have an Ffrees PAYG card.  I also have a Revolut card, which on the App has an option to create a one time card for payments purposes such as this.  Lots of other solutions exist.

When the Ffrrees was delivered, I said to OH it was junk and dumped it in the bin.  Got it out later.  The revolut was easier as it is all on my phone - no physical card.

You can also align the payment from your phone...just like the charity numbers etc..

I have a virtual credit card that I transfer money from my bank account. I use this for travelling expenses like parking and food ( also AW credits don’t tell the OH )
My OH is well aware of my vcc in fact she came up with the idea instead of me carrying cash which I might lose. She never looks at the transactions as they only come to my phone
