Despite my better judgement, something was nibbling away at me so thought I'd give her a try. As mentioned on a previous post, comms OK but brief 1 word answers. When I eventually sorted a meeting it came from 3 different numbers which should have been a flag, but I soldiered on.
Post Code given in the Baildon area, and a quick look on Google Streetview showed it didn't seem too bad.....wrong!
I turned up and let her know I was there; then it was the old "won't be long, getting ready" etc .
Then received a phone call to tell me exactly where to go, so I wandered up the street to a building and saw a hand painted "Bedsits for Rent" sign.... apparently this was the building. Down some steps and through the door into what was obviously an old CoOp type building separated into what I can only imagine is what everyone thinks of as crack house bedsits, completely bare with crumbling plaster, dodgy staircase etc.
I was about to walk straight out then Dolly appeared - to be fair she was very friendly, and is the lass in the photos, although obviously a few extremely tough years have passed since they were taken, and she did nothing for me, especially when combined with the environment.
So I just turned on my heel and apologised and left; there was no way I was setting foot in any of them flats/bedsits/drug dens!
She called me to explain she was moving shortly and we could do a car meet, but I'll be honest and said for £100 she was way overpriced.
Not for me I'm afraid, and at least I saved myself a few quid and got a pie for my dinner instead!
