Saw this on the local news and think it's been on the National breakfast features, everyone seems to be universally saying how great it is but my initial reaction when I saw it was it seemed a bit sick and cruel  :unknown:

OK so these dogs do actually seem to be happy but i've still got reservations about the ethics of keeping a badly injured animal alive and many of them will no doubt have associated health concerns and complications, one of them is incontinent

Another thing here is that many (not sure if all) of these badly injured dogs have been brought to the UK from overseas, don't we already have enough of our own animals who need help  :unknown: Oh and pensioners who can't afford to put the heating on etc

I'm a former dog owner of 20+ year's, currently Im inbetween dogs.
I think some of these videos are great. However there is a growing trend for charitable groups to rescue dogs from all over Europe, and bring them to the UK.
I tend to agree, there's enough unhomed pooches here already. The charities could raise the money and send it overseas.

I,have a rescue dog, removed from a,bunch of "travellers" in Ireland where she'd been used as a "bait dog".
The "problem" with the big, domestic rescue charities such as RSPCA,  Battersea etc is the hoops you have to jump through to get a dog from them which the smaller ones don't seem to bother with so much. OK, some of them are important  but when it gets to things like your garden must be  a certain si ze, so the dog can exercise it's getting silly - isn't that why you take the dog for a walk or two each day?
