Not taking into account the lack of traffic when you have an early appointment, I arrived with half an hour to spare so texted Alice who was at a well known chain hotel in Cambridge. I had stayed there before when bringing my daughter for an interview at the university. Little did I know what I would be up to the next time I was there.
