Author Topic: Athens in September/October?  (Read 991 times)

Planning my first solo trip abroad and fancy a mix of punting and tourist stuff. Been doing a fair bit of research on here and have settled on Athens, a good mix of the 10 euro white lamp brothels, the more expensive 50 euro brothels and some absolute stunners offering outcalls for only around 120-140 euros/hour. Going to stay in a private apartment.

Looking at going late September but might be early October. Weather is fine for me at these times and prefer to avoid the peak times for tourists. Are the punting options in Athens pretty consistent heading into autumn or is it very much a seasonal thing?

Also, how long did you go for on your first solo holidays abroad? Was initially planning on only 4 or 5 nights but figured I would go for a full week with Greece being further away.

I have been in Athens with snow falling, never done the 10 euro stuff, sounds grim, but the studios, which you call 50 euro joints were consistent.

Try for an apartment along the beach road towards Glyfada, a walk at night might find something up your street  :hi: Busy road though, Glyfada is a great place to stay though, get the tram in central.

Glyfada is nice, but keep in mind it will take you over an hour with tram to get to the centre from there, which is nearer to the 10/20 euro white lights

White lights operate as normal throughout the year, *maybe* there's more variety in summer, but still plenty to choose from
