Chiang Mai - Thailand

I am going to be in Bangkok for work for a while in September but am taking a trip to Chiang Mai for 4 nights to get away from the city for a bit. From what I have been reading on ISG, there is just not a whole lot going on up there. There is a nuru massage place called Icha Icha which seems to be the best option or else it will have to be ThaiFriendly/Tinder.

Has anyone else had any experiences there? Any places I should check out?

It's a great city to visit but not punting wise. There's way fewer girls there and because of that can get away with charging more.
Most of the fun to be had there is on Loi Kroh road

Cheers will check out Loi Kroh Road and report back. Yup all reports I have read saying next to nothing going on up there punting wise. If I do find anything while I am there I will let you guys know.

Loi Kroh Rd used to have enough going on for a few days. No idea what it’s like since the dreaded covid. There also used to be the odd disco with girls floating around, changed every time the 3 times I went but my guess there will be something similar away from the hooker bars. Just have a Google about the latest scene.

I went earlier in the year for a two weeks and signed up for External Link/Members Only paid a bit extra for the full version which gave full directions to venues. A really good site put together with a lot of care and attention. Visited a couple of places outside the city walls. Have a look. Also, get on Thai Friendly as others on here advocate. It’s well worth it and can throw up a freebie.

Thanks mate - I found that site when I was doing some hunting around on the web and it does look good. Will definitely get the full version as you suggested.

ThaiFriendly Premium has been reccomended by a few on here and seems an absolute must so will a get on it when I am there.

From memory I went to one place down a road opposite the Lanna Golf club on the road North out of the city. I’ve checked Google maps and I think it was on the ground floor of the Gem Tree Premium hotel on Chotana Road Soi 12. Walked in to a formal reception, greeted by a ladyboy which worried me but I stuck with it. There was a menu with choice of service, I paid up and then they paraded 6 girls in for me to choose from. There was one that stood out, we went into a clean room with en-suite shower which we shared and then to the bed. It wasn’t a great experience, bit robotic, no kissing and no real rapport despite her being fit.

The other one was to the west of the city but too many roads for me to remember. But all my visits were to place CML recommended so they should be in there.

I have been doing a little bit of research as I am in Chiang mai in October for 5 days. Like others have said aside from some massage places there does not seem to be too much action. Though i did read a trip report ssaying some of the beer bars on Loi Kroh Road Lane 3A were good (google king kong bar and that's the road).

I will be interested to hear your experience since you will be out there before me.

I was last there in 2015 and there are a number of happy ending massage shops on Loh Kroi Road.
Also there were a number of soapy massage places. Celeb@CNXX in between the bottom of Loh Kroi Road and the  river was very good. I went with a tiny little stunner there 1500 baht for an hour back then.
External Link/Members Only has some good recomendations. Loads of bars where you can chat them up  and bar fine them. Whilst I talked to a few none took my fancy. Avoid the Karaoke Bars as they are a bit of a scam.

My goodness, this takes me back! Not sexually I'm afraid as I was with my wife many years ago. I remember Chiang Mai as famous for making umbrellas. I also remember sailing up to the Golden Triangle
in a boat with an armed guard. Quite risky in those days.
