joined and cancelled this site over a year ago and let my membership lapse due to the cost and lack of any interest.
I got an invite to go back  on in August @ £4.99, its not a lot for a month. I had a similar response as last time, a few scammers and no REAL interest and I cancelled, or thought I had. I paid through PayPal initially and I never noticed it was auto renew, till this month by which time they had deducted 2 lots of £44 99. I contacted them after cancelling the auto renewal on PayPal, basically they said you should have read the small print. It's 39.99 a month premium to be a fullmembet how come they charged me £44.99  , its because you got a special deal and it renews at that.  I informed yhem I thought it was a sharp practice at worst scamming, they didn't like that and threatened me with court action. I invited them to go ahead look forward to seeing them in court and perhaps they may get regulated a tad better then they are now. I have raised it with my MP and I have seen lots of horror stories about this and other dating sites. They prey on the lonely, vulnerable and ( silly ) old bastards like me with complete impunity, well they have got me to contend with now years of union and Labour campaigning won't go to waste.

All of these special offer low price intro's are auto-renew, its in the small print and all the complaining wont get you anywhere sadly.  You may get back the £5 a month over charge.

From Amazon Prime to dating sites and everything in-between, it's everywhere, but its not a scam as they tell you up front that the subscription will auto-renew new at a much higher rate.
