Just thought I would put these in for in for anyone visiting the area, in case you got your hopes up, and to avoid misunderstandings. Yep, it is hilarious that a place called Cock-er-mouth has only legit massage places , well at least as far as I know.  :unknown:

However I think a few AW workers do use the local chain hotels and maybe apartments for occasional visits, so other options are available, all be it thin on the ground.  :hi:

I have recently used both places for totally legit theraputic Thai massages. Not a hint of extras at either.

If you are looking for serious treatments then I could recommend both.

Honestly, both were close to some sort of BDSM session! All it needed was the jackboots and a whip to finish it off!

Saim Styles
older Thai woman who seems to work on her own. Can be a little difficult to understand at times. Tiny place, but ok.  I told her the history of my back injury. She said she found lots of damaged muscle tissue in my back and legs and needed to “break up the knots”. She gave a very strong and often painful massage with elbows, thumbs and knees, as well as stretches and manipulations. One hour of punishment later I left feeling somewhat loosened and sensed some benefit. When I pluck up courage I will go again.

Calisa Spa
A little while after the one above I thought I would try this one. Older thai woman again, but at least one other young english woman there, not sure what she does as far as treatments go.
Once again this was a deep tissue massage, as per the other one. She gave a very strong and often painful massage with elbows, thumbs and knees, as well as stretches and manipulations. Found the same damaged tissues and proceeded to “treat” them again.
She even joked about how brave I was not screaming out, as she has had to ask people to stop shouting previously, in case the shop next door think someone is being murdered.

I guess it must be some sort of badge of honour for them if the Police are called!  :D :D

Correct! Generally in apartments just off the main street rather than hotels...
