Author Topic: Removal from hot list  (Read 2983 times)

Offline Boristheboy

I was certain I had a girl in my AW hot list, but when I looked again, she wasn't there. Now I could just be forgetful but it made me wonder - can girls on AW remove  themselves from a person's hot list? Can they see that they're on one, even? The profile still exists, so it wasn't that she simply quit.

Offline Dh200

Not sure but I’d like to know as well, they can block you but I’m not sure about removing you ?

If the profile's not active it disappears from your hotlist, have you checked.   :unknown:

See my post. I said the profile is still there. It's the same profile too, not a new one with the same/similar name.

I have had a look at mine. I can not see anywhere obvious where we can remove members that have hotlisted us. Looked on the AW help, pretty useless.

What I mean is if she deactivated her profile then it would disappear from your hotlist but I don't think it would automatically go back on your list if it was reactivated.

Offline mrwhite

No, if a profile is turned off and on then it appears in your HL when active and then vanishes when not active.

For the OP, it could be a glitch, just try adding her again.

Can you see the names of members who've hotlisted you? Or does AW only give you the total number? Or nothing at all(as in, you don't actually know who, or how many people have you on their lists)?

Ah, right. It could be that then.

Yes we can see who has us in their hotlist (and how many people) through client connections.

Profiles that get deactivated should reappear in hotlists when they reactivate so not sure of the OPs issue. Probably a glitch or maybe accidently removed her?

We get to see the actual AW Member who has hotlisted us.

Even those who have opted out of Client Connections facilty?

I cannot think of a single reason why any service seeker would knowingly opt-in to the facility, maybe somebody could enlighten me?

Can Hot Listed SP's block anyone who wants to view their AW Profiles when live?

Offline chrisintcov

I’ve found that it is possible to delete a member without realising it depending on how you have displayed your list, and without you getting a warning that you are about it. I’ve got an iPhone and when you have displayed the list with thumbnails, and you scroll up and down the list by swiping the screen if you touch “remove” it just instantly deletes the profile from the list with anything malicious by the girl.

I’ve also got a girl called woofie in my list. She has hidden her profile from public view, I’m not sure how. Her profile has disappeared from the list when you view the thumbnails, but her profile is still there when you view the list of names.

I'm finding all this a bit confusing.
I've had a girl on my HL who I reviewed on here a couple of years ago - now disappeared off the list.  :(

Sorry, the page you requested does not exist.

Does this mean she's deactivated her AW profile or somehow blocked me from viewing for some reason?

She's deactivated / deleted her profile, normally if they don't want to use it for a while they set it to 'distribute content only' then they can reactivate it by changing to service provider again.

They can't block you from viewing a page, you don't need to be logged in to see profiles, they can only block you from contacting them via the site.

Offline usroads

Thanks Davie.
Hopefully she'll reactivate when funds get low

Can you see what we have named the hotlist?  :scare:

great question .... I have a few categories - can they see which category they are in?

On the removal from hotlist, I've noticed some go missing even though they have an active profile.
I managed to work out that they deleted the original profile and then set up a new very similar one.

No we can't.

Shame because it could be interesting

Offline Dh200

So do you get to know if someone removes you from a hotlist or how many times they view a profile ?

Offline signy

This has happened to me a few times, but always (I think) with escorts on my "seen list". I have wondered if the automatic restoration to a HL after a period of profile being down only applies to the default list, not other lists created. Who knows?

I just can't find the last one

This is one of three different messages AW shows for profiles that no longer exisit - I've never understood the difference in them all though.

Has that maybe changed… I seem to recall a few years back a prossie saying she could, though it seemed a daft thing as it could lead to spam.

I found it amusing as one of my hotlists is “no fucking way”.
There are some p4ps that have an attractive-looking profile except for some major deal-breaker, like believable but horrendous reviews. This greatly saves time as the AW “notes” pop up as soon as you open the profile, even if you’ve forgotten about her or she’s changed it.

p.s. my policy is to report spam. Most of them have the sense not to send any.

Not that I know of in the time I've been on AW and that's about 6 years but maybe I have just never come across it. I cant even see how we have the ability to see hotlist names though.

I hope not anyway because I have my own hotlists

The 404 means that the profile has been completely deleted, so the SP has deactivated the profile and the requisite time has elapsed for AW to remove the page.

The "not found or no longer available for viewing" would be if the SP has set the profile to "Seeking Services" rather than "Providing Services", which is what I believe they do if they wish to go off the radar for a while but not lose the profile completely.

The third case I can think of is when you get the message along the lines of "The name of SP is no longer available, here are others you may like" and gives a search result for the area in which the SP was registered. I guess this might occur at the "halfway house" of the first case, where the SP has deactivated the profile, but it has not yet been removed. It must still exist in the system for AW to know the name and location.

Just to add to Mr GB question on Reply #11 which hasn't been answered, can you add any seeking services account to your hotlists or just the ones who have contacted you(via Email) or added you to their hot lists? And to they have to have their client connections enabled for you to be able to do that?

Oh no sorry I meant I have my own hotlist of SPs.

As far as I am aware you can't really make a hotlist of service seekers. You can do a search of the clients who have HL you based on certain parameters (age, area etc) depending if they have that information on their seeker profile but you can't save them (as far as I know)

I have known this to happen, but it's not the case here because when I do "View profile" from a message I had from her, it still links.
