River Kwai Thai Spa (Massage only) - Gloucester

Feeling in an idle mood and with a little time to spare I found myself in here recently.
Paying attention to the price list on the door encouraged a staff member to welcome me in and being an utter skinflint I went for half an hour oil massage for £25.
Shown in to the nicely appointed room I was invited to undress before the therapist returned (mid 30's nice looking, masked)
There was no towel but she covered me with a light cloth and proceeded to give me a most agreeable massage, lots of deep stretches and absolutely nothing overtly sexual.  Now I was only in for 30 minutes and at the 20 minute mark I was invited to turn over.  All highly professional, still covered with the cloth.
Was asked if I wanted anything extra and to be honest I wasn't up for anything as there had been nothing arousing in the massage and I was really enjoying it so I demurred.
Massage continued with a good massage of my arms, head and back.

I felt under no pressure to buy anything extra and, for once, really enjoyed a damned good massage and it was enough.
A pleasant experience and I would return.

I'm a regular there and have previously endorsed them as a really nice friendly place to go. Extras can be had depending on the individual girl but as you say there's no pressure and the massages are good.


Here's a useful tip re parking nearby. Lots of NCP pay and displays in the area but there is one car park about 5 minutes walk away in Great Western Road that is pay on entry at a kiosk up at the back. By mid afternoon the attendant has usually closed his booth and gone home after which it is effectively free if there are spaces available. I know this because I asked the attendant one time and he confirmed it. Unfortunately locals know this and it is close to the hospital (even closer to the clap clinic !) so it can often be full up but its worth a try. Tesco & the Retail Park are only 5-10 minute walk away but check how long the parking is free for especially if Gloucester RFC are at home.
