Well guys, the relationship I was alluding to is over. 6 months.
Despite what was advised on here it wasn't directly the work, per-se, that drove us apart.
The work was tough to cope with, don't get me wrong; but if you really care for someone and that is their lifestyle choice then you have to mentally and emotionally find a way to deal with it. Yeah, there were tough days - and nights! But it can be done.
At the end of the day it's the person you care for trying to earn a living.
In my experience, and I'm sure everyone would be different, it's that your partner has lived/worked and socialised in a world of men. She has made many (male) friendships and relationships that aren't controllable by her - and at any given moment these guys, who she now sees as 'just friends' can simply pop up, send messages, ask to meet etc. etc. etc. and that is what was the hardest bit (for me, anyway).
Your relationship and who is in it, who can invade it at the most inopportune moment is out of your control.
Occasionally, and I mean 'very' occasionally (almost never) was her job the central point in any argument. Possibly 'cos I, like most guys, i'm assuming, put it completely out of their minds as one of your coping strategies.
No. The break-up was down to the usual, everyday things that end most relationships.
My advice, for what it's worth. If any guy out there falls for a WG, and feel she is worth the effort; Go For It. Treat her/the relationship like any other and if it's meant to be it will work out. There will be tough times, yes; but hey, every relationship has them.
Good luck.
