Got to say Jimbo, I'm usually pretty level headed and refuse to come down on one side or the other in instances like this until I've seen evidence to support it. Neither of the people who've replied to you are reknowned for making snap judgements either. One of them is a moderator, and I'm not siding with CoolTiger because of that, or trying to curry favour (not my style), but solely because of the nature of your posts.
I find them worrying too.
Putting contributions to the site aside, when you state in your previous posts:
"Has this girl disappeared? Last I heard she was chucked out of her shithole flat....", then a few months later, write
"A strange one this!! Just got a few minutes into the punt when bailiffs started to bang on the door in Torquay!!" (and as an aside don't bother to report on it), then two years later follow up with:
"Hi all. Looking ahead and was wondering if anyone out there knows if Beth is still around."
...it does look
very darned creepy to any outsider reading it, bordering on obsession. Even to your fellow males.
That can lead to stalking, and that in turn to much worse, which is why folks tend to get pretty shirty on here with anyone seemingly fixated on finding one SP. Especially when they have made zero other contributions over four years.
Best to remember SPs are fellow human beings with lives equally as valid as anyone else's, who are frequently on the end of weird and worrying male behaviour, which regularly results in fear, sometimes involves violence and actual physical injury, and sadly, sometimes death.
THAT is why you're getting short shrift.
I've tried to be as pleasant and polite as possible to you, and explained precisely why you're getting the response you've received.
Personally, I'd take moderator advice, a deep breath, and take a long and reasonably self critical look at yourself.
Then find someone else, preferably more than one, and don't get hung up on finding one SP.
Consider it an alarm bell for yourself if you do.
