The Leo Tolstoy thread . . . .
for its length surely
... War and Peace
but for its content it looks more like a crime novel:
Who is the scumbag thief? What's her name?
But then the initial poor innocent victim does not appear as innocent any more. Refusing to reveal proof of his alibi he starts to appear as either a potential accomplice or an attention seeker who made it all up.
But then as the story bounces and the plot unfolds further it then becomes clear that the real interest of keeping reading this lengthy novel is whether the Mod will put his warning in action and oust the Prophet and whether the maverick ASW will also get its head chopped off for so much arrogance and aggression towards all including the police.
What a suspense, my fellow readers, what a suspense!!!
