The Mrs has lower right and central abdominal pain. Shes had 3 lots of antibiotics for urinal tract infection that have not eliminated the pain.
She has had swabs taken at her Doctors with negative results but I dont know what she was tested for.
 I have had 2 or 3 punts this year OWO included.
Not had intercourse at any of them.
I got tested begining of the year and now just had a negative test.
Could I have passed Chlamydia to her without contracting it myself ?
Would they have checked for Chlamydia at her Doctors as routine?

I think you would know if youve passed An STD on to your wife/partner.
You would have a large swelling under one eye, a couple of teeth missing and a sharp pain in the balls

Neptune - If she has not done this already, she needs to go back to the GP immediately and demand investigation for ovarian cancer. Immediately. The NHS Covid service is a shit show right now and GPs are fucking useless chucking antibiotics at people rather than deign to treat them. If they refuse, go private.

Surely to pass something on you have to have it yourself but be A Symptomatic like Typhoid Mary etc

If she has had an urethral swab for a suspected UTI it will have included Chlamydia.

That said I'm struggling with a sequence of diagnostic events that could include three courses of antibiotics in conjunction with negative swab test?

You need to be concerned about what is wrong with your wife, but it won't be chlamydia.

Have you any understanding of the complexities of a differential diagnosis of female abdominal pain? There is a huge spectrum of potential causes, often very challenging to diagnose. Ovarian cancer would be on that list but a way down it. The A&E medic's face will drop when told his next patient is a youngish female with lower abdominal pain.

From the limited information Neptune has given, I would be prepared to stick my neck out and say it is not Chlamydia, but to suggest ovarian cancer from his post is ludicrous.

I would imagine his wife will undoubtedly be receiving further examinations/investigations to hopefully reach a diagnosis and that Neptune has only posted panicking that his infidelity may have been the cause.

Perhaps the degree of 'hysteria' in your post is because you know of someone with this diagnosis?

I have no way of knowing your credentials or you mine, but last year while on holiday the Mrs became very ill with abdominal pains, the Spanish doctor suggested kidney stones and prescribed two drugs, pain killers and something else I forget what, and told her to drink plenty of fluids, she continued on and off with pain for the final week of the holiday. On our return she went to our own GP who agreed with the Spanish doctor and prescribed more drugs, the pain got worse over the following week and she was sent to a different GP surgery where they performed an ultrasound, the following day she had an MRI and then a few days later they removed an ovarian cyst, had it burst she could have been in real trouble.

I'm glad we didn't receive your diagnosis of 'hysteria' at the time, doctor, or I may very well be a widower now.

Get her back to the doctors and maybe suggest havung a scan to look for anything...

I haven't diagnosed anything other than stick my neck out and exclude chlamydia from a limited amount of information. Hysteria isn't a diagnosis. I was referring to the nature of a post.

Incidentally Ovarian Cyst would be much higher up the list of differential diagnosis than ovarian cancer and I am glad to hear you wife finally got the correct diagnosis and treatment.

Yes as I said diagnosis is difficult at the best of times, but it's a f**ing shitstorm at the moment. I currently cannot get a follow up for something for myself.

When I was younger, in my mid to late teens, that is exactly what I used to do. I developed serious hypochondria and anxiety. If she has Chlamydia you can still say you have no idea how did she get, maybe one of you get it from toilet or pool etc.. there is a small chance that someone get STD/STI from there.

Chlamydia can also be symptomless for years, and then cause pelvic inflammatory disease down the line.

You need to educate yourself regarding sexual health and I would think you need to do it quite quickly. Chlamydia can not be caught like that.

Imagine telling that to the Mrs... Yeah love the strangest thing happened. I was swimming at the local pool as you do, then suddenly this chlamydia infected me. Just out of no where. That swimming pool really needs to be cleaned.

On a serious note to the OP, NO, you cannot NOT catch and pass on the the wife. And Tests are pretty accurate these days.

I feel you stress and hope it works out, but take some (even if its only a small amount) of comfort knowing it's very, very unlikely something you could have passed on.

Seeing how much this bugged you to begin with OP why have owo if you got that concerned for your wife... do yourself and her a big favour and do OW or just stick a condom on and bang and leave. Best keep yourself risk free than to say big plus and carry on! Just be careful and hope the mrs is alright.
