Author Topic: Sheffield parlours and social distancing  (Read 5014 times)

Just a quick heads up. South Yorkshire Police have been visiting parlours today advising their owners that they are breaching social distancing regulations.

They have been informed that they will soon be visited by Trading Standards if they remain open. It sounds highly likely that we will soon see parlours closing again soon in Sheffield.

Cheers for info,   :hi: thought they got the ok to open massage places.   Very hard to social distance in a parlour :D

I noticed tgst Siam insist on masks on plus girls have full face covering. Same at Muangs..

Offline nicebutjim

That's  my experience at Muang also.
Hands sanitised  and temp check on arrival mask provided if you  have forgotten or lost you own and girls have face visors.
They will  wear masks in addition for the more nervous.
Told they do temperature checks on each other at the  beginning of each day.

Might have to give things a miss until it settles down again. Don't fancy a massage if we've both got masks on  :(

i've not been in any since february, too risky. I'm not surprised.

But more info as it might not be as bad as my post suggests. The Feds have only visited parlours that have had complaints from residents including Unit 8. Theyve been warned that they will have to act if further complaints are received.

it shows as you’ve not got any reviews. I was a lurker fir a long time but during lockdown I took the plunge just do it. It’s definitely safer than being in a busy supermarket.

I think Honeypot as been warned as well. Might be best to keep away for the moment. Could be embarrassing if the law turn up when your in a compromising position in a parlour 🙈

Honey Pot have not had a warning. But they were very concerned when they learned Unit 8 have.

Offline Night-Owl

I was told by a regular that the locals have been trying to shut it down for years. Makes sense given how close to houses it is.

Anyway, covid is a good excuse / reason for locals to push the council into action. It's residential complaints as I understand it that have caused the warning.

As you seem to be the font of all knowledge on this subject perhaps you could enlighten us as to which parlours have been warned and which ones haven't, and where you got your information from.

I worry that certain people in authority could use the current situation to push their own agenda and parlours may face the brunt of it. If the parlours get raided with the media coverage that goes with it means that anyone present could have serious questions to answer. The current distancing laws and the new rule of six may mean prosecution and naming in the press could be a distinct possibility.

We all ned to make our own decisions in respect of the risks we take. I think I'll be staying clear

Offline Scuderia Fan

Alas I'm not the font of all knowledge.

But the info on the two I mention came from the respective business owners.

Unit 8 is actually for sale and has been for some time. But as has been mentioned there is opposition from the local residents so I can't see it selling for some time. I also agree with the comment above that the Covid crisis is perfect for pushing their agenda.

I'm a regular at unit 8. It looks like there rota has very recently been graced with some new lovelies. I hardly think fhat would be the case under the threat of closure...

Possibly so with new girls and all

I think variety is good as is being a regular, maybe try being a regular with your reviews and enlighten us with good detail of the new girls

That's because a few have left. Issues depend on further complaints from residents.

Are you suggesting the girls have left because of issues with nearby residents?

Let's be honest - it is on a very small industrial estate. Yes there are residential streets relatively nearby but I reckon there's more disturbance of the peace and neighbourhood blight from the other businesses than posed by Unit8, the staff and the customers.

So what exactly is the issue with the residents - where are these complaints and what exactly are they?

Offline Night-Owl

I've been down twice since reopening.

Several girls have retired post covid with the rest moving to Honeypot. From the horses mouth it's because they were worried unit 8 was going to shut.

Myself and the owner have spoken at parties about his plans to move on and and find new blood for the business. That's no secret and has been like that nearly two years.

So - are these two highlighted elements linked: worried it is going to shut because the owner is going to wrap his hand in, particularly because of the difficulties the pandemic is undoubtedly causing?

Or worried that it is going to close because the local residents are getting vocal ad troublesome (again)?

I though the local residents issue was long gone?

Offline Night-Owl

People who don't want a brothel next door won't suddenly be ok with it.

The council got complaints years ago when it opened than went nowhere according to the owner.

The recent complaints are from residents who have pitched Corona as a reason to kick off..

It's not legal to go to a football game but it is legal to go out and to a beauty club or Spa or whatever they legally trade as and fuck a girl who's slept with a dozen blokes the same day.

Despite that, everyone including the police and the council no what it is and that's why they've been warned I guess, and others have not.

The owner wanting to leave post covid I can't comment on. I've not spoken to him since I left a party in January.

Fascinating thread.

Never been to HoneyPot massage but on google maps it doesn’t look discrete at all. It’s one reason why I struggled going to La Maison in Bury as it was on a main road and always cars driving past. Discretion is massive to me.

I've visited in the last few weeks

Unless you know what it is, then you wouldn't know it.

If you know it then you're a punter or have researched it
