IMO it's great having the Off-Topic Board back, and I hope it continues after the pandemic is over.

Anything deemed necessary to enable that is fine by me. I should add, my experience here up to now says that free-speech hasn't been/won't be stifled by that.

I have to say I was thinking about a month ago that OT hadn't descended into the toxic cesspit that it used to be however there did seem to be a marked increase in new threads being started which were borderline around 3 weeks ago and steadily getting more numerous.

The majority of those threads were all started by the same 3 or 4 members who appear to have an obsession / paranoia and a healthy dose of Mc Carthyism towards anything that isn't right leaning

A warning shot across the boughs is probably fair for everyone, may also be good for the warning to be flagged so that everyone else can see the post which is deemed to over step the mark and ensure we know where the boundary is
