Yes what I was told by a good punting mate of mine is as LMP a nosy neighbour called the police and they were warned to close down, very lucky for them they weren't nicked. They then left it a while and relaunched as The Phoenix Club making a big point at the time of being a swingers type outfit, that was in the hope the police wouldn't bother them I assume. And been TPC since.
However, LMP and TPC are worlds apart in terms of party standard, LMP when at Lancaster Gate was utterly fantastic in my hundreds of parties their, 7 or 8 WGs per party for £120 for 2 hours going up to £140 and £200 and then £240 for 2 parties in a row, great VFM for me. They also had a maximum ratio of 2.1 that I never saw exceeded, so 7 WGs to 14 punters and most of their WGs then were good looking and offered a good service, they actively came and searched for punters to punt with. So if I was sitting upstairs having a break 1 or more would come up often totally naked and drag me back downstairs, I can honestly say there were times I went into the toilet/shower and locked the door as I was in need of a short break.
Fucking brilliant place in those days, party central, leave any troubles/stresses at the door and have fun.
TPC only offers 5 WGs for £160 for 2 hours and some punters I know who were still going before lockdown and had gone when it was LMP told me it wasn't as good by a long way. However, some punters on here have rated it in reviews. A few years ago 10 posters linked to TPC got banned by old admin, they were touting low lifes or worse.
I criticised them for not informing punters on their Twitter about line-up changes and a couple of other things, it didn't go down well with TPC or some of their supporters.
The "punter" VT a real slimeball was 1 of their big supporters, I knew he was well dodgy and he got banned for taking bribes off pimps.
