Author Topic: Is business a bit quiet at the moment?  (Read 2182 times)

Offline Home Alone

I spent a bit of time yesterday setting up a punt for tomorrow to celebrate the 15th anniversary of my first punt. Eventually, I decided to book a lass who's been on AW for 10 years.

She hasn't many Reviews on here; but if she's managed to keep going on AW for that length of time, I usually think that she must have a core group of Regulars who keep her business 'ticking over'.

However, what intrigued me about her Profile page were a couple of statements as follows: "New Lower rates for Incalls"; and the one that caught my eye, and which I'm taking advantage of: "December Specials. For 2-hour Incalls Only 180!" [There were many more exclamation marks on the Profile page, but I've spared us from all but one of them!!]

This surprised me because I've been aware previously of New Year price reductions to keep the punters, erm, 'coming' [sorry!  ;) ] but I've never noticed pre-Christmas reductions like this lass is offering before.

Has anybody else noticed reductions being offered? Does this mean that what felt like a concerted effort in the last 12-18 months by many SPs to push the basic hourly rate from £100 to £120 - I'm quoting North of England figures here - has backfired a bit on them?

I'd agree with you, what it comes down to is that if people don't have any 'spare cash' whatever is on offer they won't punt, everybody suffers. Money stops circulating around the ecomy and everything is 'flat.'

Haven't noticed any reduction in prices by me (Swindon) if anything prices are going up. Seems £70/hh is starting to become the norm instead of £60/hh.

Not to mention Chico Time

You don't seem to have had any Chico Time for the last four years.

I'm certain that parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme may have an influence too.

I’m surprised that there’s not a lot more sp’s doing deals in December... especially the run up to Xmas,

They’ll be desperate to get some coin in especially the ones that have kids to fork out for  :D

Your post assumes a degree of business sense from them!  Many will think that a higher price means more income and will not appreciate the impact that "special offers" could have - even whilst they shop online for "black friday" offers buying stuff they do not really need.

You usually see more offers in January or half term break.

Is that an expression used for a typical EE punt as in "You can't touch this"  :hi:
