Dissapointed. Had agreed over the phone to have a traditional Thai massage, and checked a couple of times that this was possible. However, it quickly became apparant that this was not the case. The place looks run-down from outside and I almost walked immediately but "looks aren't everything" so went in. Met by a nice enough girl who looked OK, wearing a short dress and nothing on her legs which were remarkably pale for a Thai. Alarm bells ringing already as whilst being pretty sure (probably plenty of) extras would be on the cards I was unsure about massage skills.
£35 for 45mins paid and up onto the bed and covered up in a warm towel - maybe it will be OK after all methinks. Bit of climbing on, using knees and hands to pressure massage but without a real clue of what to do, and then onto an oily wipe. Fine if it was the prelude to a wank and a hand up the dress, but not what I came for - at least not for the first half hour !
Very quickly ran out of ideas and was just making little circles on my back. Flipped over and more of the same so I tolerated it for another few mins but made the decision (for the first time ever) that I was not going to pay more so laid there until boredom set in and called it a day - and walked. Out the door on 30mins. To be fair to her she clearly tried her full repertoire, and whilst never asking if I wanted more it was made pretty plain that she was ready and expecting to do so. Just didn't work for me at all.
Needless to say it is well and truly off my list, each to their own and all that but not for me anyway. Probably big fun to be had if not really interested in the massage side of things, but did not do what it says on the tin.
Given the itch was not scratched I bowled straight over the Thai Spa place just across town, did a walk-in, got the same girl as last week and coughed up an extra wedge for naked this time - and that saved the day. So a fucking expensive afternoon out in Redditch, but at least it ended on a high.
Have to say after a little trundle round over the last couple of weeks I am probably more frustrated with Thai massage joints that I started out, and still haven't found what I'm looking for (thanks Bono!)
