Thought it might be worth posting this, in case she makes a habit of it and has let other members down as well.

This was the same old story; flawless communications, booked several days in advance, then, despite confirmation the evening before, radio silence and 5 minutes ahead of time a text saying she couldn't make it because of a sudden family crisis.

It might even have been true, for all I know, but I don't give them the chance to let me down more than once any more, so she's straight onto the shit list.

Sorry to hear this Mr Hutton.
Any reason why it’s not in the review section?
Would you like it moved?

Thanks, MD, but I'm not sure a single no-show merits a review. I did post a negative review a while back when a girl had stiffed me twice - more fool me - but a review for every single no-show might clutter the forum up a bit.

Your experience so up to you, but if a wg cancelled me five minutes before, I would be shouting FUCKING NEGATIVE as loudly as I could

:hi:
FairPlay that’s up to you.
At least she called you before and not after.
You are a Gentlemen for giving her the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe harsh to neg her, but I would ask for some free time for your time/expense.
Makes me wonder how often this sort of thing goes on unreported.
Thanks for sharing.

You say that she contacted you 5 minutes ahead of time. Do you mean 5 minutes before the booking time, as that's very late?

We can never know whether the stated reason for cancellation is true or not, but we can expect to be notified as soon as possible. Unless this happened close to the booking time (and the  radio silence suggests otherwise) then she should've contacted you sooner.

Did you travel to the punt on the basis of the confirmation the evening before? If so I'd go with a negative review as you'd been inconvenienced and incurred travel costs. If not then it's your discretion.

Yeah, it’s a negative Charlie IMO especially at that short notice. But I agree, I nearly negged a regular a while ago for radio silence. It turned out that the circumstances were actually more serious than she disclosed after the event. I’m glad I gave her the benefit of the doubt as she’s still an excellent regular..
