As a punter that likes a GFE,  eye contact is very important to me.

But no, I wouldn't get angry if no eye contact is made.  Generally speaking, lack of eye contact often results from the other person being shy or maybe autistic etc.  IMO that sort of reason is more common than for no eye contact to mean they have an aversion to you or what they're doing.   So I'd just enjoy the rest of the punt, but probably not return unless everything else was exceptional.

Maybe naive, but I’d like to think a machine learning program could’ve actually learnt something by now and would be posting slightly more intelligent threads than OP.

It's having the desired effect, you for one are replying and giving him the attention he's looking for.   

Why not just wait until he replies to post #3 and gives some examples, that puts the onus on him to show this isn't a pointless thread. If he doesn't respond the thread will drop off the page and if he keeps getting ignored it might just deter him from future pointless threads.
