Author Topic: Topping up punting phone  (Read 831 times)

Have a bit of difficulty trying to top up my punting phone, no that the credit has expired due to not using it.  Bought a £5 voucher but can't activate it due to absolutely no credit on my phone as EE charge for the 150 call and they don't seem to support "pay as you go" on line either.  When it was T-Mobile, wasn't a problem as it was free, any ideas?

Can't you do it online on their website?

Tried registering my phone number, didn't seem to work, could give it another try.

EE will disconnect Pay As You Go customers if no “connection actions” are taken for 180 days. If this happens, any unused credit will be removed and your EE phone number will also be deleted from the system.'

If you havn't used the phone for over 6 months,go into the EE shop and get a new SIM card.

Online scutty brown

read the instructions on the topup voucher, it tells you how to register the voucher by text

or to do it by phone ring 450 not 150

Could try another provider, plenty out there

Beware of Vodafone, they steal your credit and cancel your number after only 3 months.

£4 a month sim. 150mins, unlimited text, enough for punting.

Your linking it with your card details....

Unless you particularly care about retaining your number, just buy a new PAYG SIM

Yes. A connection action can simply be checking your credit via your phone - something that is free to do, method varies network to network. Just make a point of checking your credit at start of every month and that should keep your PAYG phone in play. Or, just phone it or text it from another phone every month.

I use txt me app. Gives you another number, top up as you need. Hide the app on your phone also comes with thumbprint to unlock. Does the job well

DON'T get it registered, and DON'T pay online with a card traceable to you.

If there's no other way, get a new sim.
